Robert Griffing's painting (Crossing Slippery Rock Creek) served as the inspiration for my dio. John's figures were perfect for the scene.

Love it. A perfect joining of figures and scenery. -- Al

Superb !
A scene so well done as this should be in a Museum. Very well done.

This is more than a diorama. It's a slice of real life. :salute:::salute:::salute:::salute:::salute::
I personally think it is better than the original painting!

Hey mark,
I want to echo and double all the comments so far. I have to say this is probably one of your finest accomplishments.
Did you remove the bases for the figures; hide them; or use a Photoshop type solution?

Whichever it was, the result is "PERFECT" :salute::

Mark, that's an awesome set of pics that you've assembled for us.:salute::

I love magic water, BTW.

Your pics make me wonder if anyone has ever seated figures in the material, rather than on top of it.

Would make for an interesting (if perhaps expensive) experiment!{eek3}

You have a good eye for detail Mark. Just outstanding staging on your part to show off your JJD figures and your wonderfully done diorama base. Amazing talent you have for sure . . . .

Thank you to everyone for your comments and likes.

I honestly didn't think everyone would be so overly impressed with this but I'm glad it turned out that way.

The dio was fun to do and I hope to make more in the near future.

Mark
