You won't regret it ! Now that I've got room again for Dios, I'm planning to get my Knights, castle and siege engines out this Spring.

Clearly better sculpting and better painting. But do we care enough? Some of us just might not.
 
Wow, that new version is a beauty- funny, I passed on it figuring I already had a great axe-man...might have to re-think that.

IMO the original is the better figure like the wear on the cloth and the bigger figure.

One of the reasons I have only been collecting the older versions as the fit in really well with the K&C Crusaders.

We all know crusaders look best in a mass formation

Some of those early FL Crusaders were crazy big. I like the newer Crusaders better.

I have them all displayed together and there is only the one Hospitaller that is undersized. To me they look like a normal distribution of humans.

Sammy, these differences are not like K&C to FL WW2. I took pictures of my FL Crusaders collection and you cannot tell the difference.

Hi Sammy,

I also waited anxiously for a package to arrive, and it just got delivered.
It’s not Crusaders though but other First Legion figures.
My pulse is up a bit 😉, since they had a long journey come by from Germany.
I unpack in a bit and will post pictures later tonight.

Well, got to say I'm beyond excited with my 2 new Crusaders!!! The detail and sculpting are even better the WWII sets!!!! The flags are just unreal!!!! It doesn't take much to get me excited about toy soldiers but I'm blown away with these fine sets.

To another Crusader oder!!..:) in all seriousness I'm not really sure where my collecting habits are these days, I'm just enjoying picking up whatever I can afford, as well as looking outside the WWII range for a bit, oh I'll never leave my true love of WWII but adding some color to my collection is well over due!!!

Congrats! Excellent choices.
I don't know if anyone else has suggested this, but of it's color you're after the Landsknechts or most anything from FL's Renaissance range have beautiful color. Many of the most colorful ones are in the $65 range. I need to get them myself but have seen them in person at shows, and they burst w/ color and feature very detailed sculpting.
Enjoy your new Crusaders! The Hospitaler with flag is a favorite of mine.
