Either Ricket's Battery or Griffin's battery. I am hoping that the artillerymen will be for the two-gun section of howitzers from Griffin's battery . . . Much fought over by the 11NY, 14th Brooklyn, and the 33rd VA infantry regiments on Henry Hill.

As the Advent Calendar sketches come to a close in a few days, I must say that the biggest surprise for me, when I received them from John, will be another new range being introduced tomorrow and Thursday . . . sketches #22 & #23. I am confident that I won't be alone in my surprise . . . wait and see

I wonder if there is something really special for the 25th day?

This has been a good run for the Advent calendar this year. From the calendar, John has additions to the Trojan War series, a new Japanese Samurai-era civil war series, and North American conflicts ranging from the Vikings, to early New France and Jamestown, to the southern theatre of the American War of Independence, War of 1812, and the American Civil War lined up for the future.

I'm looking forward to seeing how 2022 unfolds for JJD.

Thanks again to John and Mike for sharing the sketches with us. Much appreciated gents!

Same with me . . . Only a few of the sketches are of serious interest to me . . . Saxon archer, Union artillery, and Skraeling. John couldn't decide what sketch he wanted me to post for tomorrow so he sent me two . . . Something extra for Christmas Day.
