A German 88 crew is on the lookout for Allied armor in the N. African Desert.

Thought I would get out my old AK027 10.5cm field gun for some pictures. I substituted a 1/32 FOV 88mm gun for the 10.5cm to make it a anti-tank gun scene. 4 of the 5 figures from the AK027 set are used for the crew.

Duke mate i love it can't wait for a 88 with DAK crew from someone (TCS)......................{sm4}

I really like how well the K&C crew go with the FOV 88, plus the palm, rocks and grass mat make a nice simple but effective dio.^&grin

Thanks for posting.

Excellent dio. Great use of the 88MM and the figures show just how versatile both can be

Thanks everyone. The AK027 is a great set, especially the gun crew IMO. Just wanted to change it up with the FOV 88 and thought they looked good together.

Agree with Desertkiwi on this; looks wonderful.
Best shot is the one looking down the barrel of the gun. Darn, now you can imagine how Monty’s boys felt as they races forward after Rommel and friends. {sm2}

Thanks again guys. Much appreciated.

I forgot one pic from a different angle... thought I'd add it here. The guy holding the shell and being from the AK027 of course means that the shell is too big for the 88{eek3}, but I tried to make the pictures to where it's not too noticable anyway.{sm4}

And that is the beauty of Toy Soldiers ..... If you imagine it, you can do it. :rolleyes::confused::rolleyes:

Great idea! The scale difference is hardly noticeable. Looks very good!

Imagination, that's what makes coming up with scenes so much fun! Just like when most of us were little, playing with the little plastic army men in the yard or whatever... imagination was put to use time and time again.:)
