Dispatches are up!! (1 Viewer)

:D

Will do Andy, however compared to Gordon's paint job i'm sure mine will look like it was painted by a blindfolded Chimpanzee!;).

That scrapyard sounds wonderful, all that WW2 stuff just lying around. It reminds me of an issue of 'After the Battle' in which there was a Tiger 1 still lying in a ditch in Normandy in the mid 70's!.(And to think i think i've got a result when i come back from the Somme with a clip of bullets and a handful of shrapnel!)

Rob

Hey Rob, did your mind race when you read Cromwell and Comet, I know mine did. Maybe my Churchill won't be so lonely soon ;) :D

I hope we see a Comet first as it's my fav Brit tank, but speaking of dosh, I just checked the price for the LCA. With the price increases of most 1/30 sets lately I anticipated the LCA would have been around $200, but was happy to see it's only $159.

Yes, I would have thought that the LCA would be more. I'm looking forward to it.

Well - I am glad to see that we have some real figures talk about this month ... wait for it ... NAPOLEONICS !!! :D :D :D

Great releases ! Love them.

Wow, after this dispatch there's so much my head is spinning!
O.K. First point, I love the fact that K&C after having clearly conquered the land is moving on to the sea and air for the WWII line. I'm super excited to see more boats, planes, naval and airforce personnel in the future. However as an armour enthusiast I am starting to go into withdrawal from lack of new pieces, hopefully a Firefly, Cromwell or Pz.IV is on the horizon.
Second point. The retirements this month weren't as bad as I had anticipated which is great, it'll give me some time to catch up.
Third point, the pricing points aren't going up up and away which is great.
Fourth point, love this dispatch. That landing craft was a surprise and is a definite buy for me. I also love the wounded soldier/medic piece. Those two are standouts for me.
Fifth point. Now that we've got new Dragoons I don't feel as much pressure to get an old retired piece ( for a small fortune ). Pink uniforms, a bold choice to be sure.
Sixth point. Bring on the CANADIANS.

I love this hobby!!!:D

You are undecided then!:D;)

It's a great release this month and I see K&C trending toward breaking through the doldrums we seem to be experiencing with the WWII lines.
Going to sea is a good different direction and the FOB trending toward the Air will also peek interest.
POLYSTONE AIRCRAFT!!! ie: affordable.

Landing Craft

Okay, now that the new LCA is coming out who wants to sell me their old landing craft for the same price? :D Yeah, I'll keep dreaming. I know the new King Tiger really brought down the price of the old one, but I suppose that won't happen in this case, unfortunately.

Personally I don't like the old one.

What don't you like about the old one? I have to admit I've only seen it in pictures, but I thought it looked pretty good.

By the way, does anyone know what year it was released?

The old one was rather nice but long retired by the time I got into this game and very expensive. It first came out circa 1999.

I have the old one and will be getting the new one some time too.

The old one is very cool and very nice. Solid, heavy piece, very cool action item.

If you can find the old one at a reasonable price, I highly recommend it!

Kurt,
not sure that the King Tiger really did that. The old stuff still brings a pretty price!

Hi Guys,

Several Forum members got in touch about "closeups" of the new LCA with troops.
Your wish is our command...see photos attached...

Hope you like them!

Best wishes and happy landings.
