Dispatches are up! (1 Viewer)

What a huge number of releases to start off the year, my goodness. :eek: No hits on the retirement front thank goodness and no "must have's" for me so all in all a quiet month. Lots of goodies however for AK, NE, MK and FOB fans. In particular the UXB set looks great and I really like the colourful Crusaders. Great way to start the year and here's to lots more awesome releases to come in 2012! {sm4}

I will be getting the Japanese officers. But I don't understand why they and most other soldiers are painted with the black outlines on their clothes around the pockets ect. They should just be kept a solid color.

I think we have to face facts that ACW has never been a huge priority for K & C. This is not being critical, just the way it is, not to mention that, at least in the fast few years, Britains has made a concerted effort to become the ACWcompany and to a great extent has cornered the market.

I think when K & C has done ACW, they have done a very good job as sculpts are animated, well done and well paiinted. Maybe they just haven't sold up to expectations.

Brad

Yep... Britains does a better job with ACW and I have been spending my collecting budget with them. I did like K&C's Confederate mounted generals, though. Looks like K&C gave-up on this range... ^&confuse

Now were are cooking with gas. Thanks Andy for finally doing some Japs. I hope there is more to come. You out did yourself with cutting edge thinking and out of the box creations. Simmo.{sm3}

What a terrific dispatch and a fine way to kick off 2012! I'll be adding several of those new AK figures....AK088 in particular is fantastic, always nice to see more Crusaders...love the figure on foot w/ long sword, the whole UXB scene...can I say it?....looks rather explosive!! :tongue:...love the red fenders on the bomb disposal truck...great creative array, and it's nice to see some Japanese figures...really nice looking figures. Quite a diverse dispatch... a little something for most everyone.

Not much comment on the LOJ ox cart, perhaps due to it being around for a couple of months. Wondering when this was coming, due to the fact LOJ only surfaces once a year around Nov. Really pleased its on the way, anyone else going to collect? Cheers, Robin.

Thanks Rob, all scenario's look reasonable, although the WW11 German look slightly out, they must be very desparate for transport if they are down to using oxen, talk about slow. Well I am happy to give a first hand report later this month. Cheers, Robin.

I doubt that wheel type was used in Western Europe after the 1500's.
Of course one of the pleasures of our hobby is that you don't have to be a "purist". You can let your imagination run wild!

Michael, I'm not surprised you're getting this one. I've already ordered mine. I've been looking for something like this for years. Thank you, King & Country! It's the perfect addition to my Crusades dio.

George...I missed this the first time around...it's a beautiful piece...I just ordered it...however...after a second look...it may be limited to where I can use it...the cart and the wheels are a bit on the primitive side...but it will definitely work with my Crusaders...Saracens and Romans...it might be a squeeze to put it in a French Indian war dio...but not impossible...I see they have it posed with WW figures and it looks pretty good...do you happen to know if the team is detatchable...

No idea, Michael, but I'm betting the team is detachable. I also wonder if the cargo in the cart is removable. I guess we'll have to wait until we recive our carts to find out. Yeah, there are so many possibilities for this piece for someone like you, who collects many different time periods. It's just such a nice piece. Can't wait to receive mine!

I never considered this may come with detachable cart, on reflection I think this would be good as it allows the same cart displayed in different ways. As stated this covers a number of my series where it would fit in. My order is in. Cheers, Robin.
