Sometimes i see things on ebay that just make me either smile or mutter an expletive, the later i rarely do in company of others.

This one below, selling F Legion German WW2 single figures for between £150 and £250, with a couple at close to £500 each. see below and have a scroll down. I know they are quality figures, but high enough to justify paying this much?

While there is an ebayer with a single, unboxed K & C, figure from set DD49 wanting a £100. The whole set sold for £165 last year on ebay, i know, i bought it.

Part of me thinks is the TS world going mad, but as i heard someone once say where there's money there will be a chancer..........

I have shelled out big chunks of money for stuff, mainly K & C and i have not minded paying for them as they are my passion, such as paying £740 for the SP Desert religous building and Desert square. But these prices above are just mindboggling, then again if no one buys they will come down. I can remember someone had a K & C set on ebay and i had a duplicate that was thinking of selling, so i watched it [the starting price was quite high], i watched it, it was on as an auction for 10 days 39 times at the same price with no bids and then even i lost interest and stopped watching. I did put mine on, starting at £0.99 and it sold for a little over half what the other one was on at and i was very happy with the price i got.

I know i can have a go at K & C and i go too far sometimes, but i am passionate and committed to many things in life, including K & C toy soldiers, so go a bit over the top when i get dissappointed with releases etc. A month that contains either WW2 Western Europe release or Medieval Warriors and i am a happy bloke, if it contains both then i am as happy as a pig in the brown wet smelly brown stuff.

Don't worry mate. Some people just cannot take criticism at all and their fanboys take anything critical Al as a personal attack. It's been happening for years.

Remember one man's junk is another man's treasure.:salute:: If you want it and can afford it then buy it. It's your choice. (unless the wife finds out ^&grin)

IMEX makes some excellent Castles at affordable prices.
It can be turned into a ruin.

Probably get them 3D printed for under £150

Just a comment more about 3d printing, I think its great but if to be used as a pirating function of a previous design with out compensation, not a huge fan. Too much of that is going on in China with the pirating of kits. I think it is bad business and quite frankly, in those cases, the quality sucks compared to the originals. I think 3D printing is great, but not at someone else's expense.

As to the value of these items on ebay, all depends on who is buying. Niche collectibles value goes up and down like an elevator.

Agree. For myself when I have something 3D printed it's because a manufacturer doesn't make what I'm after and unlikely to do so.
Also 3D printing does have it's limits especially when done in 1.30th scale.

I totally agree about the copying, dispicable, but maybe i should have elaborated more, i did mean generic castle/fort stuff. Not copying.
