Elephant Battery (1 Viewer)

Great work, Jeff,
a very nice set you finished there.
Just can't find a battle throughout the French and Indian War where they used Elephant drawn artillery :), otherwise I probably would have had to kill the piggy bank.

Thanks for posting pictures of the fine elephant battery gun set. I enjoyed following your work. First class Jeff. John

Dick, Konrad, Alex and John,

All your kind comments are very much appreciated :) Thanks.

Regards

Jeff

The elephant would have looked much better in green :( :p

That is a superb paint job Jeff. Thanks for the photo ride along. :)

Jeff your painting speaks for itself and your photos with your new camera do also. Thanks for the time, effort and pleasure they've given us....The Lt.

Jeff, This is wonderful ! I hope it gets a great new home. I liked your choice of colors or the gun and limber. It has come together beautifully.

How do you get the wheels painted so nice?

Hi KV,

I take it you mean neatly? If so....after the rims have been painted in the gunmetal colour I just go round and touch up any over painting with a very small and good quality brush (and a steady hand).

Jeff

Yo Trooper Wraith, you only see green Elephants over here when you have had to many pints of Guinness lol.
Bernard.

Bernard,
No such thing as 'too many pints of Guiness'
There's always room for one more. ;)

I did . So, you are just doing it the hard way then. I had hoped you had a trick like running the wheel over a paint pad whilst using a pencil for a shaft.;)
It is very neatly done. I hope it will find a good home. E-Bay UK prehaps?

The Elephant Battery has now found a new home and is on its way to its owner as I type this. I’ll leave it to the forum member to come forth (if necessary).

Many thanks :):)
