General-in-Chief Winfield Scott -- Old Fuss and Feathers -- and his second command General George McClellan conclude another conference, settling nothing. The old General, a veteran of the War of 1812 and the war with Mexico, by 1861 was subject to many infirmities and could only spend a few hours each day discharging his duties. The haughty McClellan put in 18 hour days and often bypassed his superior by going directly to President Lincoln, who tried to mediate between the two, unsucessfully.

When Scott resigned and Lincoln told him that the position of General-in-Chief and head of the Army of the Potomac would entail a "vast labor on you," McClellan replied "I can do it all."

Great shots Brad good to see you posting pics mate...................{bravo}}

Brad,

Brilliant display with interesting story line.

The "strain" between the 2 men is palpable.

Raymond :)

Well done Brad. Had not seen these figs before now. Thanks for posting. Chris

Nice story line, with pictures to match Brad :salute::

Cheers

Martyn:)

Raymond, Chris and Martyn, thanks.

Chris, Aeroart put out a series of Civil War generals several years ago. I picked up some of them yesterday from Alex (boerboy) and Tom Dubel. They included generals you don't see produced that much like Johnston, Longstreet, Hancock and Hood.

Got to agree nice additions to you ACW collection Brad but it's even nicer seeing you featuring them in an historical tale along with their photos. Looking forward to see4ing you at play more often and sharing your playtime........Joe

Thank you all and thanks to Alex and Tom D for supplying the figures, which I picked up yesterday. I thought the photos came out a little too dark but otherwise ok.
