We have been going back and forth on favorite war movies. How about this. Eveyone list their top 5 war movies, #1 thru #5.
No comments on the movies, no more than their top 5.
And we will see what we come up with.
Again only 5, and no comments.

I've just had a look thorough my war dvd collection (124 so far), and my top five atm are:

1. SPR
2. Cross of Iron
3. A Bridge to Far
4. The Eagle has Landed
5. Battle of Britain
 
Nearly impossible, if you ask me on a different day it would probably change.

That's a very, very good point Ray. I guess a quick spotcheck is what this thread is all about. I haven't counted but I think SPR gets most top-five votes. How about someone putting the results into a spreadsheet and graphing them..??

I was really considering B of B as well, that was a great pic as well. I also have just ordered the new remastered version of El Cid, haven't seen it since I was a kid. When I saw Sophia Loren was in it, it reminded me of another movie with her and Cary Grant, in the napoleonic war in Spain, were they had a huge cannon to blast the walls of a french held walled city? Anybody name that tune? :confused:
