Hitler sure did stick a spanner in the Normandy works with his splitting the armour deployments didn't he?.Can't really underestimate how much his interference ruined the German army's chances throughout the war.Rommel was very astute wasn't he.He knew as soon as the allies established a bridgehead the war was as good as over.In fact wasn't he on his way to convince a fellow officer about the need to surrender when his car was shot up?.

Thanks to Carlos too who, if I understand correctly, took also the time to post photos.
Behind the Hawker, there is a box from the SOHK serie. Something new?
Anyway, Steven or Carlos, please ask A. C. Neison what are the plans for that serie and if he plans to revisit the Silk Road serie.
Pierre.
Yes, Carlos posted the second set of clearer photos. His digital camera is better than mine. He posted the photos and asked me to comment. The next SOHK is HK159, The Metal Worker. I will ask abou Silk Road.![]()

Brad we are indeed united!.Lets face it only one person kicked his Nazi arse out of africa, out thought and out fought the fox.(Cue the arguments, numbers supplies bla bla bla)but Monty was the man that did.And as i have said before he had many faults and made mistakes in Normandy/Arnhem.But one thing is forgotten he whupped the most famous and gifted piece of scum in the German army. And for that he is a hero. Rob
With what MONTY had at his disposal vs the FOX it's no wonder he got to finally beating him. As to the two MONTY could'nt hold a candle to Rommel as a Military Leader. I know Stick to my Zulu War and leave the fighting to the Big Kids..........The Lt.
But do you think whatever he had done he was doomed?.As you say the biggest armada in history coming at them surely the best he could have ever hoped for was to slow them down. And don't you think that even if all the tanks were near the beaches it wouldn't have had much difference on the outcome?.Maybe carnage to start with, but sure USAAF/RAF would have dealt with the tanks lickety split?.Wasn't he always on a lose?.Although you do make a very good point about intelligance or lack of it.
