Fall of Crete (1 Viewer)

You have captured an Army in the depths of despair Steve and the lack of colour intensifies this aspect. All put together with lots of thought. Robin.

Great display Steve, you've really put some thought into this and used some excellent figures and buildings.

The Crete campaign is of particular interest and its rare to see it featured on TF. Really like the set up and B&W snaps.

I created a similar display for one of the Brisbane K&C dinner diorama competitions I attended, using my own K&C grey FJs and the borrowed the K&C Vickers tank and FOB Brits from my good Oz mate Mark IV.

If you read much, I can highly recommend the Robert Kershaw book 'The Hill' about the brutal fight for hill 107 during the battle for Crete. Its an excellent read and extremely well researched.

Thanks for the kind words Toddy and Duke 👍🏻

I read the Antony Beevor book, which was interesting.

While on holiday in Crete, I went to the museum in Heraklion on the Battle of Crete and National Resistance.
There are a few bits of interest, but to be honest very little there, unlike the magnificent Archaeological museum.
