I write to you now as the former owner of Treefrog Treasures.
. Shannon and I started Treefrog back in 1999, selling odds and ends from auctions on eBay. Under Shannon's watchful eye, Treefrog Treasures entered the toy soldier world and never looked back. It grew from a small, home base business (with bedrooms overflowing in boxes) to a full service shop with full time staff. Shannon excelled in relationships, building deep personal connections with manufacturers, dealers, and customers alike. I was always the 'behind the scenes' finance guy, working full time as a pastor while Shannon kept her hand on the tiller.
After Shannon's passing in 2015 I enjoyed keeping things going and Treefrog has remained strong. Now, 2 1/2 years later, I have realized that my passions lie outside the toy soldier world. Treefrog needs to be owned by someone with a deep commitment to this hobby. With that in mind, Julie and I have been in conversation for a while about having her take the reins. Today we finalized things, and Treefrog Treasures is now hers.
I entrust Treefrog (and this great forum) to Julie, who has done such a great job in managing Treefrog over these past years. Together with the Treefrog team (Aron and Jeff), they will continue this great Treefrog tradition.
It's been a pleasure to have met so many of you over the years. It's a bit bittersweet to say goodbye, but the time has come.
Thank you all for your support over the years. It's been a good run. Now it's Julie's turn.
Peace,
Pete Reuss
