Just wonder what was you most favorite toy soldier buy in 2011 and worse and your reason why ?

I haven't bought much this year. But my favourite is probably the K&C M13 Italian tank. It's very well done and I had been waiting a long time for some Italian armour.

There is no worst purchase. I was very selective this year and even in hindsight, I am happy with what I got this year. I feel like I got almost all of what I really wanted and nothing that I regret buying.

What about you?

My favourites are all of the NAPOLEON IN EGYPT series by King and Country.

Reason is I LOVE NAPs and these are from a campaign rarely produced and are a wondeful example of the work put out by this company.

No dissapointments for me :)

And looking forward to all the new Thomas Gunn NAPs in 2012.

Fovorites include:

Figarti's P38, HE219 and the NASHORN IS A MUST!!!

KC's, Battle of the Bulge Americans (expensive but worth it)

Started Collecting ACW in 2011 and wasn't disappointed with catching with some old KC, Britians and Collector Showcase Cavalry & Artillery sets. Don't short CS's ACW stuff they're smaller than their WW2 stuff and blends in well with KC and Britians IMO.

Dissappointments???

That's a stretch, can't say, since I only get what I want due higher costs. I am no longer a completest!

Favorites are anything I buy because after cutting back on what I get, I now buy only what I consider to be the cream of the crop. This incudes all the JJD WW1 aircraft, the JJD Jacobites, and the Regal/SoW figures. Haven't been disappointed by anything but the inability to purchase everything that I would like to buy, but that's the way it goes. -- Al

Fave this year is the Typhoon because it was such a famous and feared aircraft and as such i really wanted one in my collection . Also the UXB sets, this is because it shows K&C thinking outside the box and adding extra interest by creating home front sets. No disappointments for me in 2011. :smile2:

Even when made apparently in jest (and I emphasize apparently), this is the kind of silly comment that just annoys people and contributes to a less than harmonious atmosphere on this Forum. I decided to desist from making LAH comments. Why can't you do the same when it comes to First Legion? Maybe you could make it a New Years resolution :smile2:

Highlights were the addition of more K & C glossy sets, Figarti Tiger and FL ACW sets. Can't recall disappointments; never dwell on those. Hoping to add some K & C in 2012!

I think the Collectors Showcase RHA caisson is the highlight of 2011. Not much has been said about it, but I doubt if we will see another version of this set by any other manufacturer in a hurry.

Sorry Brad just for you i will make a new years resolution and leave this "PUBLIC" forum so you can have your controlled peace and harmony!!

Wayne,

You know I love you but if we can avoid needless friction, don't you think that's a good thing. Like I said, my LAH comments were causing unnecessary problems so I made a pledge (unsolicited) to Shannon and Andy to not make 'em anymore.

That's all I'm saying bro :)

Nice deal on the AK 23!

Favorite: my K&C Nap. 71st, the Britains 2010 Christmas set, and lastly my Hudsen & Allen base that I got on here (probably the nicest piece of the bunch, just not really a figure).

Disappointed: Britains WWI British Officer (face is weird)

Most Anticipated: TG Naps

Favourites!!!

Aircraft Figarti Owl just a very nice, well made aircraft.

Figures... K&C finally doing the guards and Royal marines just think they will eventually give rise to a superb full range with a superb full band for either or both!!!!

Dissapointments!!! yeah, but I am not driving down that road!!!!!

Favs were Imperial Naps, Tommy Atkins Jacobite Rebellion and the sudden plunge into Britains Zulu War and Sudan ranges in matte, new and fascinating to me.

Figarti P-38, just beautiful and WB Nile Gunboat, so much detail! Hocker Turtle, most unique piece. No disappoints. Chris
