FIGARTI / BSP / Fuel Truck (2 Viewers)

Having the V2 being towed would be a great display Oz,eye catching to say the least.I'd be up for that.

Rob

Another bonus is that you won't need so much vertical space to display it - I have to put my upright V2 on the top shelf, it's pretty stable but I do worry it's going to fall...one day

It is such an icon prototype I suspect Rick has got it on the list, but how far down

Me too Oz,I have my V2 on top of a bookcase, and there is about quarter of an inch between the V2 and the ceiling!.Its a great model though,i have the first camo scheme version.

That must be one high bookcase Rob  I missed out on the camo version but got the B/W version which gives it a test vehicle look. With luck they will issue a different camo version later on as there were several variations.

Am looking at the Osprey V2 Book now re the camo schemes. They have the two versions we have plus plain green and 'Batik'.Batik looks good, its a mix of reddish brown, earth brown, green and white. There is another called Flame with rounded scheme of Green,White and a light brown. The final scheme is the same colours but in a jagged scheme.

I am going to quote myself........ I have them, I am doing a Diorama with them, which will be done in a week or so. Figarti's stuff has the best detail in the industry, and they, just like other Manufacturers have size issues. I have seen it in K&C - Honour Bound - Figarti and others. So they all need to address that. But do yourself a favor....don't miss the Fuel Truck, it is excellent, and can be used in many ways.

So basically you said initially the truck and the figures are undersized, now you are telling collectors not to miss this vehicle.

Sort of like the reviewer at Fords Theater telling Mrs Lincoln "Listen, I know Abe was assasinated last night, but aside from that, did you like the play?"

Here is a quick shot of Figarti's new fuel truck. We do work for many companies, this is among the finest pieces we have ever seen. The only complaint we have, is the Truck and Figures are smaller than the V2 Command vehicle and figures. As you will see when we complete the rest of the shots. Alex

Above is the opening statement on this thread, I think it speaks for itself. Alex

And your second comment regarding your complaint about the piece is where all the confusion started. The fuel truck should be smaller than the command vehicle as comparing the two is like comparing a Panzer I to a King Tiger, ie, two completely different sized tanks.

The two vehicles are in fact the same SCALE Alex, one happens to be smaller than the other in real life.

Again, it would be like a collector saying "I bought the K & C Panzer I and am not happy with it because it is tiny next to their King Tiger".

Does that make sense to you?

George

You could very well be right..... I think it was mostly the little bit oversize on the inspection figures, which threw us, when we put them up against the fuel truck. But you were around during WWII, because you are older than me,:D so you would know the exact difference.

But when we used everything in the upcoming scene, Nick and I thought there were some subtle size discrepancies. A big guy here, a small guy there, a vehicle that may be a little small her, a vehicle that is maybe a tiny bit big there. But when we put them together for the scene, it basically worked, but it was a little weird.

This went a lot further than I thought, from the opening statement, and I think everyone has it sorted out. It seems to me mostly a matter of preception at this point.

Ok George..... now tell us a few of your WWII war stories:D....Alex

THIS IS THE SENARIO THAT THREW US A BIT

The picture comparing the command halftrack to the fuel truck; they both look in scale to me vs each other if that makes sense to you. They look superb side by side, two excellent vehicles that Rick and his team have designed. They are both the proper scale when compared to each other

The second picture is comparing K & C to Figarti; an unfair comparision, as they are two different companies.

Regarding the inspection set figure vs the truck; it appears to be a big figure, but I don't see how the size of that figure should effect the perception of the truck, they were not in the same set, two different sets.

Besides, anyone knows generals were always taller than regular enlisted men; take CapitalRons personal hero for example, Napoleon, a giant he was.................

That open door on the command vehicle (and the blank interior) is the only criticism that I have about these items. The fuel truck looks fantastic. The Figarti V-2 series is one of my favorites.

I agree. Would love to see a release of this truck with closed door.
