I dont know how I missed that one of the children that was killed last week respected and wanted to be a firefighter. Many Firefighters from all over the area attended. I am so dissapointed that I didn't know.

I am retired but I still have my dress uniform ( I dont know if I still fit in it {eek3} ) I am deeply saddened by this event as we all are, but that hit me hard and really personalized the tragedy for me. I know what it was like to be a young boy and wanting to follow in my Fathers footsteps into a most rewarding career as a City Firefighter.

A 'work in progress', but finally had time to play a bit. The dio will reflect an Eastern front kampfgruppe re-assembling for its thrust to the Volga. I'm still looking for a good backdrop (have a few ideas) and gotta love the BuildaRama grass/road mats. I've acquired a couple Figarti railroad cars (wow!) and yes, I'm well aware German/Russian scale made it unlikely that German rolling stock would be near the front...but hey, I like the effect. The Figarti PkwIV is featured here, with FL, HJB, KC and FOV vehicles in support. More to come.

Bradley, I think the FL figs work well with the HJB vehicles (they're great for the money). I can send you closer pics if you want.
Alex, I'll be adding a 2nd Figarti PanzerIV and using your decals to give it a different turret number (wish me luck).
Tom and UK, I don't have the engine, as I kinda 'fell' into a Figarti rail car and have now added another-and may have add more (yikes).
