FIGARTI: HMS Poor People (2 Viewers)

Stunning castle is this a one off piece or, otherwise?
Mitch

Thanks Al and Mitch. It is even more impressive when you see it in person rather than in a photo. It is one-of-a-kind custom-built castle that came right out of Bob's head. He built it himself although it took several years. Here are two close ups of the inner courtyard and one of the towers.

Its incredible and a very nice build. I can fully see why and how it took so long. Excellent pics

Hi Mike,

What an impressive collection! I am especially drawn to the Durbar collection. Within that collection, I see many fine Marlborough and Hocker Durbar figures. Do you know why the flag on the Hocker Baroda Elelphant has been removed and replaced with a yellow one?

All in all, his collection makes me drool! His castle is magnificent! He possesses a collection of which I can only dream!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Hi Pat,

Due to a family medical emergency, Bob was not able to attend his own open house, so I could not ask him about the flag. Sorry.

Hi Mike,

I am sorry to hear that Bob was unable to attend the open house. Do not worry for an instant about obtaining an answer to my question. My question is of no real importance. I certainly hope the medical emergency in Bob's family has been successfully resolved.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

FYI: I have started a new thread under "Dioramas" which shows some photos from Bob's open house last week end.

Stunning piece of work; he is quite a craftsman. It is mindbending to imagine cutting and fitting all those pieces of cork and well as coming up with the excellent design.:cool:

Figarti's HMS Victory was on display at Bob Walker's Christmas party in San Jose this Sunday. My brother, Tony, and his wife, Shirley, attended; I did not. Shirley took two photos on her cell phone camera for me plus another which shows Bob, in the red sweater.
