Figarti JS2 and Tank Riders (2 Viewers)

freaking hell, that was fast!

wraith, can the mg be removed?

and can the hatch be closed?

That was fast,i might see 1 in 2 months or so...............:D What a great looking tank and the riders look superb as well this is a must have thanks mate great shots by the way,you didn't grab a winter STUKA by any chance.......;)

Simon, that's a model and a half there!.......and I don't just mean the colour. ;)

Figarti JS2 looks like it will be a great tank.....I have already placed a pre-order for this one......as usual I am a little less then excited about the tank riders..HOWEVER...Figarti AFV's are very well done.....Nice....very Nice indeed:)....Does anyone know the release date

This is a definite highlight of the TS year for me:cool::cool: Like the guy hanging off the side with his hand gripping the turret

Clive posted a while ago on another release that he pays extra to airship the new releases into the UK so he gets them faster. I think that may also have the advantage for reducing the potential for damage; the shorter the transit time the more likely they arrive safe and sound.

For the US, they go by slow boat from China :)

Bingo! As you say Brad, I know Clive has certainly some of the new stock air shipped across for new releases. And they arrived damage free and well packaged. No faults, chips, bends etc.

Sorry Wayne, haven't got the Winter Stuka, got the summer one and really like it, just not sure the budget will stretch to the winter one as well, although it is sorely tempting.

Naz, The MG is removable, and the hole / mount doesn't detract from the look (i.e. the hole is pretty discreet). The hatch is fixed open, although I'd say if you were wanting to mess around with one, it would be a pretty easy, albeit permanent, mod to close it.

Jeff, if they'd done a blue version, I'd have gone for it, but it's just plain old ordinary green, so reluctantly.....:D

Terry, yes, the tank riders are surprisingly very stable given the poses, even the guy hanging / jumping off. I can't envisage any issues with damaged figures from falling out of place at the slightest knock. I haven't got the V" command vehicle, but noted that some collectors had problems re the fit of the commander entering the vehicle. Happy to report that no such problems exist for this pairing.

Vezzolf, RH, this is a great set, I don't think you'll be dissappointed. The production run for the JS2 appears to be up from ususal to 130 (tank riders remain at 100), so it looks like Figarti are listening to some of the comments about being pressured in to buying thee and then, or losing the oportunity. I guess it's a fine balance between making pieces available to collectors vs. having unsold stock sitting around for a while.

Very happy with these sets.

It goes nicely with the T34/85. ;) Remember, you only just picked that up before they retired them........no pressure :D

Did Figarti make a T-34/85 recently??? I don't remember seeing it....Do you have photos of the T-34/85 to upload...Thank you Vezzolf

Frank,

I think he's referring to K & C. Figarti has never ventured into Russian areas before.

Sorry for the confusion, no, Figarti haven't made one. I was referring to the K&C T34/85. Rob was umming and erring over getting one, and finally plummeted for it a month or so before it was retired.

That said, it appears Figarti are planning on continuing with this line, so we'll have to wait and see what turns up next.

Cheers

Vezzolf:

I partially agree with you. Those tank riders look about as exciting as tank riders can get. I do not even collect the Russian WW II theatre of ops but must say that these are some of Figarti's finest yet per the pictures. They actually look Russian to me and their facial expressions appear individual/unique. As for the JS2 Tank, a simple WOW sums it all up. What a great release for the "Russian" collectors! Enjoy. On another note, I know I can make that Winter Stuka fit into my collection somehow...someway! Once again, their recent packaging is the cleanest and most secure that I have seen other than a K&C Warbird which is protected and wrapped like a mummy!

Beaufighter

The troops don't look too but would that they could make them look like First Legion :)
