I think that camo pattern is just a white paint pattern on the original basic green paint from the factory. Are you going to replace the Figarti finish with a coat of green paint?

The tank Figarti made with the red star and bear, number 432, with air recognition markings is a late model 1944 JS2 with the improved muzzle brake and sloped frontal armour. I think it is the historically correct model of a Russian tank that fought in Poland in 1945 and went on to Berlin. It's been modelled exactly the way it looks by other companies including Tamiya in 1:35 scale.

I don't know what it would look like in white camo or how the air recognition marks would stand out from the white camo paint. I have to agree with forlornhoper - I would not paint this model.

Soviet armour in WW2,generally did not always whitewash their equipment in winter, they were not expected to last long, therefore no need to camoflage a vehicle that may not last the day.Elite units in the main whitewashed their equipment ( known as Guard Units) but in the main it was not common practice to whitewash tanks,if they did unit insignia would remain on the black green background. As for Berlin it would be unlikely newly whitewashed vehicles to be involved in the battle but there were tanks in Berlin with old flaked off and damaged whitewash, but it was previously agreed by the allies prior to entering the city that all AFVs would be marked with air rec markings to avoid friendly fire in the built up areas, there were in fact 2 different types of required marking due to german defenders copying the original air rec markings during march and april 1945 .hope this helps ken

I think that tank was in a Guard Unit.

Not a clue. There are no other Russian prototypes shown at Chicago. I wonder if more will come out at the West Coaster in a few weeks?
