Thanks for the photos Carlos. I've got the Abrams reserved and have already got the EOD sets which I picked up at the London Show, and they are superb.

When does the new wing on the house open?:p

Any1 have the Abrams, or 155? Thoughts comments?????

I love this tank! I can remember as a kid about twenty years aga]o making a 1/35 scale tamiya modelof the M1. Actually I made a bunch, but none survived. This would be a GREAT addition tomy collection.

Figarti vehicles have unmatched detail; absolutely exquisite. Additionally, Figarti's figures are exhibiting more and more consistency and appear to have caught up to the quality of their stellar vehicles. Thanks again for "finding" :p more pics Carlos. BTW, I hope your camera will be traveling w/ you to Chicago in September. I can't make it, unfortunately; maybe next year. Your show photo coverage is the closest thing to being there.:)

Alright- mine came in last night- time for my ridiculously biased opinion :D

SIMPLY AMAZING!!

'nuff said :D

Seriously, if anyone on this forum considers themselves fans of armor- they better not miss this one. No tank has a longer US combat service record than this beast. This thing is just amazing. I opened the box and all the memories of being out at Ft. Irwin chomping Abrams dust just came flooding back- I turned the thing around and could just smell that God awful odor of the jet fuel burning out the rear exhaust. It took me less than 10 minute of having it on the table and I was already going with the sound effects " BOOM BOOM" and " Rumble Rumble". I looked up and everyone in the house was just looking at me- LET EM- This thing brought me back to a time in my life when everything was much much simpler and so much more entertaining.

I cannot find a single thing to comment as a criticism on this beast. It is simply beautiful. I guess I would like to know why the cupola reflective plates have that "whiteness" to them- I don't ever recall seeing that. Their 1/2 sized crewmen can still use some work. I also guess it might be better to place the miniguns in a more secure place- they come shipped packaged underneath the vehicle.

I hope to get some pics up this weekend- not sure though. Interesting that mine is numbered 11/108- the TF site says 100 were produced (??)- were the other 8 prototypes and not available for general sale?

This thing is just fannnnnntastic A++++++++++++++++++++++++++ to figarti. I always said cruising across the desert in an Abrams is like dropping the top of a 66 Mustang and opening it up. This thing comes as close to that feeling without raising your right hand. :D

Chris, Is this tank and the Iraqi series 1/30 or 1/32 scale? After your post, I had to take a second look at this AFV. I'm strictly WWII, but this is tempting.

1:32nd.

The crew are slightly smaller than the normal Figarti Iraq war figures. The tank itself is roughly the same size as the KC Bulge King Tiger- I'm guessing, I haven't seen mine lately.

I'd snatch it up boss- Hawaii needs a solid armor vanguard. :)

Chris...

Sounds like your happy with it??? Can't wait to see the pics

Happy doesn't begin to describe it. I am going to set it up next to my nightstand when I get home tonight. It is easily one of the crown jewels of my collection along with my Conte Roman Galley and KC Hummer.

I do really hope I can get some pics up sometime mate. I think that would be called for and help further portray the awesomeness of this beast. :)

Chris...

I think its great when people enjoy the sets as much as you obviously are and its what the hobby is all about. My time will come soon with the Jagdtiger. Is yours the desert version or the camo colour I have seen some get?? Personally, I like the desert version the best from the two colour schemes
Mitch

Whoa, I didn't realize there was a woodland camo one- I assumed those were special orders for Louis and other collectors. Mine is desert painted. Woodland camo would not be out of historical whack though as several battalions were deployed like that during the first few years of the war.

Toy soldiers always release the inner "boy" in me- sound effects, commanders barking orders and of course, the "ugghhh- I've been shot" sound effects are par the course whenever new figures arrive at my hooch. My son once said it's like watching his dad go back in time 30 years :D Truer words could not be spoken.

I think thats one thing we all share the ''inner boy'' though I have great difficulty keeping it in but, who cares?? we get one crack at being here and its going to be as much fun as possible
Mitch
