I just received this today, And again. A great item!!, I examined it for any thing that is off.
track and wheels, checked. wheels are spaced evenly (I am not anal enough, to actually measure it with a tape :p)as far as I can see.
lettering and emblems: straight.
Howitzer: straight, goes left and right. painting/ weathering overall: not overly done, just perfect.
Figures: Very good.
Is the miniature too low to the ground??, that is in another thread, you can agree with the one :(, or you can agree with all the others (specially Binder001):D. which confirmed me having to have this one.:)
Is it a must buy??, definitely for me. the first tank I like, was a priest.

I was just relooking at my post, And forgot to mention. That there was one thing that made me uncomfortable, The styrofoam was really, really snug, on the cannon ( I was afraid that i will break it when I was removing it, to get a look at it). and the box was just a tiny bit too small, that the styrofoam was over the inside/lower box a bit. But overall it I am glad i got it.

I seem to be having the bad luck it seems...

That said, it is an excellent model, and I believe Rick is doing what he can to address the QC issues.

I believe that if you are only going to produce 100 of an item, it should not be very hard to check out every piece, before leaving your own personal factory. Maybe a little more of slow and impressed rather than shock and awe..Michael

I am so sorry that you received a piece, that has all this problems. I hope you will return this to get your money back.
But a suggestion to everyone, and of course everyone can correct me. I think if there are any problems with any piece we should put the limited edition number, So that (And hopefully, Rick assigns certain numbers to different workers), so that he can find out where the quality control is lagging. If lets say I am assigned to check or do numbers 26 to 50. And there is a problem with number 34, then Rick knows the QC problem is with me.
And I emphatize, if I just spent the money for an item. every single piece, that is sold should be perfect, no flaws of any kind.
And of course, I know Rick understands and wants the same too.

I suspect that with so many new releases their quality control has dropped off. The other factor is that hand made models tend to have more human errors than machine built products. Honour Bound had similar quality control issues with some of their hand built/hand painted models.

Absolutely NO EXCUSE!

We are looking into these QC issues and will tighten our QC procedures.

Damage not withstanding....I decided to pass on priest.....I saw the desert version and was not impressed with it..........I did buy the Sherman however and was not dissappointed......

Golly, all those errors in one single model? That goes way into bad luck. That howitzer barrel looks like they tried to fire the weapon with a plugged bore.

I support Figarti's projects but I agree that in a run of only 100 there should be more effective QC.

So what happens now,you cant get a replacement if its all sold out,and money back plus postage etc ? Personally its the figure/vehicle i want not money back...............

PanzeRPK...

That is a sorry excuse for an expensive, limited edition piece. There is no reason a run of only 100 models should not be perfect. The decal mistakes alone should jump out at the factory. I have been interested in a few Figarti pieces, but when they only produce 100, and you have to preorder to get one, the QC issues have scared me off.

Received my M7 and M4 Dozer today. Sorry to hear of the problems you have had. Only major thing I noticed was paint that had flaked off the top of one of the boxes on the rear deck. It was easily repaired with a bit of Model master OD paint. The right front mudflap also has a portion missing/broken that is similiar to what was shown earlier in the thread. I took it to be battle damage until I saw the repair job that was tried on the other M7. I share some of the concerns about the styrofoam being kind of tight. Not so much around the cannon barrel on mine but on the bottom of the vehicle between the tracks. Use care in removing this as it appears it might injure the tracks with a hard pull. All in all another nice piece from Figarti. wonder what could be next

I have the same sentiments, as Wayne Does. If it ever happens that I get an item that has something wrong with it. I do not want a refund I want the item.
And from What I gathered From Rick And has been told in one of the threads, The metal they use, with the mold/cast they have. they can only make 98 to 107 pieces from each mold/cast. so if lets just say you want one of the 88's. And Figarti, only got 98 out of the mold. that will be almost impossible to replace (because it is such a wanted piece), but with lets say the m3 Lee, it will be easier. because not too many likes them.
Again, my suggestion is put the limited edition number in the forum, And let Rick Know, and hopefully he assigns certain numbers to different people, So he will know where the QC problem is at.

Thank you Spartan,

Good recommendation on the number tracking, it will help us trace potentially where things may have gone wrong.

Hi Bill, Just curious, which one do you like better...the M7 or the M4? I have yet to see the M4 dozer "in the flesh", and I'm wondering how it measures up to wonderfully done M7. Oh, and congrats and adding two great new pieces to your collection- enjoy :)!

Glad to help, I believe that you are striving to eliminate, all problems. You have listened to issues. And have made adjustments, to make everything your company makes, better. as each one comes out.
And because I believe in that, I will keep buying Figarti. For I know, That the pieces I will buy. it will be a great piece, and it will not have any issues.:)
And just to reiterate with what JOESGIS said: TO everyone in the forum, The M7 is a great piece to have!!!

Hi Joe,
Haven't really sat down to compare the two side by side. With what time I had yesterday, I spent touching up the flaked paint on the M7. Hope to play around with them a little today. At first glance the M4 is a really nice looking piece. Nothing out of place that I could find. The added dozer blade makes it much heftier than most other offerings. I started out as a Sherman collector so it's nice to see some of the variations now making an appearance. Now, if we could just get a crab or a DD that would make me very happy:D

For the record, I have two (one Standard Issue & one OTSN Chicago Special) Priests and they were packaged extremely well and in perfect condition. I know & trust that Rick will fix these quality control issues for those affected for which I am sorry. It reminds me of opening a broken present at XMAS. Any past issues I have had with Figarti have been promptly & professionally dealt with. Thanks for reading.

FIGHT ON!

Not sure i recognise the road wheels ? look like vvss sherman road wheels to me not sure M7s had that style of road wheel ,i understood most M7s used M3 old style road wheels or late stamped solid M3 road wheels.perhaps someone has a different understanding? or photos of M7s with the modelled road wheels .
