That would make a nice shock and awe piece
Bill

I hope it is just a regular piece in the $200 range and not a shock & Awe piece for $700+++. By shock and awe I meant a PT Boat or several cars of an armoured train.

Well, I was thinking of a piece that would shock and awe us all but be affordable. But then again an armroured train would indeed be acceptable.:D:D

Their last two shock and awe pieces were in the expensive range but before that the Tiger was in what is now considered the affordable range.

Up until now my collection has been K&C. However that Firefly looked so good and I wanted one for so long I have dipped my toe in the Figarti pool and preorded one. I am now anxiously awaiting to see it in person. I hope I'm not disappointed. If that Firefly is as good as the pictures then a lot more of my collecting dollar will find its way to Figarti.
That British 8th Army Priest is a terrific looking piece. I too hope we see a long barrel Normandy/Eastern Front Mk. IV. What a terrific time to be a collector! :D

I hear ya, and I'm right there with ya! :D .....just sittin' here waiting for my Firefly and Highlanders!

Same for me. Up until Firefly/88, I never looked at Figarti. I didn't even know they had a website! I saw the Tigers, V1, Eboat, etc. on Treefrog and figured they were going after a different customer than me. I pulled my hair out when I saw their rendition of my favorite PzIVF2...didn't like the excessive crew/poses, bike, & excessive wear & tear.

But this recent wave was really really really well done. I ordered the Firefly but missed the 88.

instead of 1 amazing but understandably expensive piece and 2-3 quality armour pieces, it would be interesting if figarti releases a diorama set that you can buy piecemeal.

for eg. a battle of the bulge diorama - Kampfgruppe Peiper's battle group (1 king tiger, 1 halftrack, 1 schwimwagen, 1 sidecar, panzergrenadiers) and american troops (anti tanks, hellcat, MPs etc)

1 more good thing is that existing pieces can be integrated into that - for eg, winter panzer IV, the 2 sets of winter troops, sherman, US howitzer, and the recent prime mover and 88.

don't get me wrong, i always anticipate figarti's chicago shock & awe.
but realistically, not many among us can afford them.

just a thought.

I really like this idea - it's original, affordable and appeals to the collector's instinct to build something up.

That is true. At the time, I thought $300 was a lot for a tank, especially since it was only 1/32 scale. I guess I was just shocked at the time. :D But much later when I realized they were a similar size to the early K&C Tigers, I became awed :D and got one. But it is still the most expensive tank I bought new.

Today, shock and awe means $600+ - lots of awe but even more shock :D

I 100% agree with James here - that's a quite brilliant suggestion Nasir. I would love to see Figarti do a Battle of the Bulge range exactly as you've put forward. The big plus is that it would "go" so well with another major players Bulge items - and I happen to believe their American Bulge items are their best WWII products anyway.

Cheers

Hope these guys hit stateside soon. Getting a little anxious.

I don't think they're supposed to arrive until September.

Pity about the H 2 on the snorkle sherman as another company already has had an H 2 Sherman on the market for a long time. Makes it difficult, but not impossible, to use both in the same diorama

The tanks came rolling in this morning!

The 4 new items listed at the beginning of this post have just arrived. We will have everything shipped out by Tuesday (no pick up Monday, short handed today!).

Thanks, Matt
