Dear All

As we come into June it's hard to believe we are half way thru the year already and of course the two main anniversary's of the year, D-Day and the start of the Great War immediately spring to mind. We have of course planned releases to commemorate these two events plus a host of others, so please read below and see what's on offer for June:

Ancient Britons Series

ABC008 Celtic Archer: At long last another addition to our Ancients range in the form of a British Archer taking aim at the hated Romans! Limited to 100 in number worldwide and priced at $37/£27 inc VAT.

Zulu War Series

SFA001B: As promised a remake of SFA001 but this time with much more authentic detailing and an overall improvement in quality on the first release. This version features 2 officers battling out with one officer holding onto the Regimental colours of the 24th whilst the second takes aim with his pistol. Limited to 120 in number and priced at $70/£52 inc VAT.

SFA007B: As we are very nearly sold out of SFA007A we have made a limited edition run featuring a standing and kneeling rifleman from the 24th of Foot but this time both figures with beards, a common feature of Victorian soldiers on campaign. Will look great on the Britain's sandbag redoubt or firing down from a building or waggon.

Limited to 120 sets worldwide and priced at $70/£52 inc VAT.

SFA016: Two superb additions to our SFA range in the form of a standing rifleman wearing a leather slouch hat which was just starting to make an appearance in Queen Victoria's army in the 1870's and a cautiously advancing rifleman wearing the more comfortable side cap. A really great action set that tells a story, limited to 120 in number and priced at $70/£52 inc VAT.

SFA017: A young musician with his dog kneels down amongst the carnage of the ongoing battle. I think the dog has a better chance of getting out of this one alive!

Limited to 120 pieces worldwide and priced at $38.50/£28 inc VAT.

The Foreign Legion

FFL023: The last in our series of 'Stood to Attention' Legionnaires to instil a little variety into your diorama but this time wearing a Pith hat. Limited to 50 in number worldwide and priced at $37/£27 inc VAT.

FFL025: A belated entry some would say but finally more Tuaregs to do battle with our Legionnaires! This time a kneeling rifleman and a lying down reload figure with a rather fearsome looking sword! Limited to 140 sets worldwide and priced at $70/£52 inc VAT.

FFL026 Dead Arab: As we have had some dead legionnaires we figured it was time for some a dead Tuareg and here we have one on his way to meet his maker! Limited to 140 sets worldwide and priced at $37/£27 inc VAT.

The Great War

GW024B: As promised a B version of Sgt Stubby with a sentry from the 82nd All American but this time wearing the more traditional tin lid. I believe the first version has now sold out, so if you missed it then grab this iconic figure from WW1 whilst you can. Limited to 100 in number and priced at $38.50/£28.00 inc VAT.

GW025A British Marine (Light Infantry): The Royal Marines went to war in 1914 wearing their blues and although striking was not a practical uniform for trench warfare. Our Sgt Major has already swapped his white gaiters for puttees and casually smokes a cigarette whilst his Boxer puppy wonders what all the fuss is about! More early war British Marines to follow later this year. Limited to 100 in number and priced at $38.50/£28.00 inc VAT.

GW026 French Marine: Going one more with the Naval theme we have added a French Marine from 1914 dressed in Navy Blue and soft cap with pompom. You can add these to your column of marching early war Poilou's from K&C, if you managed to buy these the first time they came out or our recent Belgian Carabiniere. We will be adding more French naval troops in action poses later on in the year. Limited to 100 in number and priced at $37/£27 inc VAT.

World War Two

USA002: We have had several requests for our Rangers to have a 'wet look' about them to complement their K&C Ranger figures released some time ago. So here we have a limited run of 50 sets featuring two NCOS with rifles going into action on 6th June. These two figures wear gaiters and net covered helmets plus a healthy application of salt water up to their knees!

To clarify matters and avoid confusion, last months release of Rangers was officially titled USA002/003 A version. These new sets released today are very different from last months Ranger figures!

Priced at $70/£52 inc VAT.

USA002B: As above but minus the saltwater look! Limited to 50 sets worldwide and priced at $70/£52 inc VAT.

USA003: Two Rangers wearing gaiters and net covered helmets armed with carbines make their way forward off the beaches, come complete with 'wet look' trousers!

Limited to 50 sets worldwide and priced at $70/£52 inc VAT.

USA003B: As above but minus the 'wet look' trousers. Limited to 50 sets worldwide and priced at $70/£52.00 inc VAT.

SS013B: The winter version of our Normandy set released last month, going to look great on a BOB setting or Eastern Front. Two Germans whose war is definitely over, wait to be taken prisoner by the Allies, one of them looks like he is in need of urgent medical attention! Limited to 100 in number and once again priced at $70/£52.00 inc VAT.

Opel Fuel Truck SS046: A long awaited addition to our WW2 series in the form of a 3 ton Fuel Tanker which will look great in any behind the scenes WW2 diorama, be it a Luftwaffe airfield or a tank park with thirsty Tigers waiting to be refuelled. This 3 ton truck was the mainstay of the German land forces and Luftwaffe and served in every theatre in WW2. The A version comes in a 2 tone late war camouflage pattern and the B version comes in a superb looking winter pattern whitewash. Priced at $99/£79.99 and limited to 100 in number for each version.

LUFT011 Heinkel Peoples Fighter: The HE162 was a last ditch effort to produce a cheap jet fighter that could tackle the mass of Allied aircraft darkening the Reich's sky's in the latter part of WW2. Supposedly relatively simple to fly and cheap to produce, these early jet fighters could be lethal death traps in the hands of an inexperienced pilot. However the jet did represent an unprecedented achievement, going from drawing board to operational readiness in less than 6 months. Thousands were in the process of being assembled when the Allies overran the production facilities of these new wonder weapons.

Our fantastic looking aircraft is in the markings of ObLt E. Demuth and features his 16 kill markings on the tail fin, all gained whilst flying other aircraft. Demuth was based at Leck in 1945 when this aircraft was captured intact by the British.

This model comes complete with two pilot figures, one being Demuth.

The HE162 saw limited combat experience towards the end of WW2, but nevertheless was an important contributor towards the development of jet fighter aircraft. Limited to 100 in number and priced at $220/£175.99 it will be a fantastic addition for any WW2 aircraft collector. A big thanks to Paul Tremblay for his help with the markings on this aircraft and also with his assistance for the colour scheme of Kurt Welters ME 262 night fighter, which was an instant sellout!

CLUB 012: A classic pose showing a fully laden down German infanteer relaxing before setting off on another forced march, East or West the kaiser knows best!

Free to all Gunn Club members who spend $150 or more thru our website, limited to 100 in number worldwide.

Thats all for now folks, some great figures out next month as we celebrate our 5th Anniversary!

Best Wishes

Vicki Lucas

What a wonderful mix of subjects in this month's releases. All the figures look superb. I'm in on the Royal Marine and the French Marine for sure. The jet fighter is a real corker. Nice job TGM. -- Al

I think others must be looking at items I can't see. I think the majority of these releases look poor in the pictures offered. I like TG as a company that releases different things and does or did decent releases. I think, the quality seems to be dropping at least to my eye. There are a lot of over scaled hands googly eyes (for want of better word) strange colours especially the greens being used on German overcoats. The aircraft we have discussed black panel lines but, even the circular rings on the nose cone are all over the place in terms of paint lines.

For me, TG are better than the majority of releases here for June

These should be no problem for an experienced painter and modeller to put right?????
guy

That attitude will not make the manufacturers correct the issues I have mentioned. Its pretty much QC to avoid crappy eye painting and incorrect colours on German uniforms. There is also the issue of disproportionate anatomical features which, being made of metal is a complex job to rectify.

Complaints, complaints is all I hear. Tell me who else puts a plane +two figures on the market for $220 ,,,,,,
guy:)

It seems its ok for you to make comments but, when others do its complain, complain?? Just because the price of an aircraft and two figures seems cheap to you does not mean others have to accept some of the issues that have been discussed by many collectors.

Will you two washerwomen stop bickering. TGM quality has not gone down. They are just faithfully copying K&C style

I am not complaining about the TG quality, on the contrary.I just want to find out where Mitch spends all his money since no TS manufacturer can do anything right lately

Get up on a different side of the bed, look out and smell the roses, hug a tree, pick 5 things in life to be thankful for, and you might actually start posting more positive than negative..Also, it takes more facial muscles to smile:) than frown:(, so you might have to practice in a mirror each day..:salute::...Free therapy advice from one who cares. Most of the forum membership and me....Michael
