The 51st Pennsylvania storms Rohrbach/Burnside Bridge at the Battle of Antietam, Sept 17, 1862. Led by Col Hartranft, the 51st carried two stands of National Colors as well as the regimental flag that day. Chris

Don Troiani's splendid portrayal of the battle.

Jeff

Excellent diorama Chris ! :salute::

One can almost hear the chaotic sound of musketry mixed in with the cries of the wounded and dying, shouted orders and smell the sweat, bloodlust, fear and gunpowder ! {bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}

Fabulous pictures Christ :salute::

Reminds me a little of when I was a member of SoSkAn back in the 70's and we did a 3 day reenactment at SYON PARK just outside London..........though you have far more figures than we had members:wink2:

Stay safe

Martyn:)

Many thanks for the comments and like votes guys, much appreciated. The bridge is an Ebay purchase, made of foam and cost $20. I added the planking. Chris

Chris,

This is just downright awesome!!! You depicted the scene and the painting perfectly!!

I was also going to ask about the bridge. Can you tell me which seller has it on eBay? I'd like to look into buying one.

Mark
