Forthcoming Allied TANKS! (1 Viewer)

:)! I couldn't agree more Rob :)! You have articulated my precise feelings on the matter!

Thanks Joe:).As I say I like all the German AFV's,so many classics. But now I feel the 'Big three' producers have a chance to fill this big Allied gap, here's hoping Joe;)

I have stopped getting German armor as there is just so much of it around.
My main focus now is on Allied, especially British/Commonwealth stuff.
Figarti and K and C have come up with some great British stuff recently so hopefully CS will do the same.

Yes, you have to wonder. Also, HB had some reasonably priced Shermans so I have a hard time understanding why more of those needed or why he couldn't have found one liked.

Again, I wonder how many people who say they want this, need this or ask manufacturers to make them actually buy them. We should be prepared to back up our words with actions.

I try and back mine up whenever I can,I may not always be able to buy something as soon as its out,but I gradually catch up to it;).

....(fingers crossed)......

This is an exciting development. Up till now CS has focused on Axis vehicles. If their Allied lineup is as good as the Axis one we have a lot to be excited about in 2010. I look forward to what awaits us.

Cheers

Sherman? - don't know but K&C and Figarti have that area fairly saturated for the moment (but there are a lot of Shermans that haven't been done yet - just do your homework!)

Crusader? - the Crusader III was recently done in 1/30th by another maker, but the Crusader II hasn't been done and is very appropriate for North Africa.

Churchill? - as I mentioned on another thread, these could offer a whole bunch of possibilities. Between the Mk III and Mk VII I think one could go from Alamein to Hamburg. Also offers a "parent" tank for the Churchill Crocodile. Croc's were also used in support of US forces on occasion so more flexibility in displays.

Stuarts? - The M5A1 is covered by K&C, but the M3 "Honey" could work for North Africa and the Pacific.

T34 - they were "Allied" too. To paraphrase Patton, "I don't like the s.o.b.s but I mentioned them out of politeness".

M10? - done by K&C but still more colors to be done. Here's a thought - Audie Murphy on the back of a damaged M10 firing the .50 cal.

M36? - would be great to get a US 90mm but it's kind of late for the stuff CS has offered so far.

Cromwell? - still available from K&C

M26 or Comet? - both very interesting but, again, rather late war for most CS offerings so far.

Matilda? - Can the desert guys ever have too many Matilda II's?

CS could go "off the wall" and give you the early Cruisers (A9, A13) from the desert.

Still lots of opportunities...

Great ideas as usual Gary, would like a Churchill for Alamein along with the Croc.

I'll make 2 wild guesses...

It's a Sherman Calliope "Screaming Mimi," or a Pershing!

I think my wife would say I have been backing up my words with actions too much lately when it comes to toy soldiers!!!!

I like the Sherman that K&C made for the Bulge line but would like a running one as well. I am hoping K&C will follow up the LCA, which I recently purchased, with an LCT, and I would love something interesting like a bulldozer Sherman to place on board. I know Figarti has done some of these types of Shermans (I love the snorkel ones), but I am hoping for something a little lower in price (not that Figarti is that out of range for me).

I love Russian armor too and would certainly welcome an addition to the K&C T-34 I already have in a small diorama. I understand those who want British armor too; I, personally, just don't have any British dioramas right now other than RAF. Of course, a nice British tank from CS could be the start of one if it appeals to me enough. There is just so little money to go with so many products - I still need to pick up the new CS zouaves.
