Forthcoming Dispatches (2 Viewers)

What Naps would you like to see then Ron?

Rob

Rob mate I am keeping fingers crossed for some more LAH stuff to flesh out my parade.
You know some more Goose stepping SS Troopers and some Swastika banners.
I would like to see some civilians for the LAH range.

Digger,

We are already having a laugh mate, if I didn't know better I'd say we'd met before;)

Hope you get the LAH stuff you're after:)

Cool, and maybe a BBQ Adolph's patio.

Hey, where are those shirtless Aussies and their 25 pounder, some are still waiting.

Digger hasn't posted since his sudden entry to the forum,I wonder who..oops,silly me..where he is?

Rob

Why he's in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia, known by locals as simply Alice. The town is so isolated, I doubt any of us will ever set eyes on him  I wonder if he is a mail order customer of Brett's?

Busted from the PM message I recieved!!!!!!.

Anyway back to dispatches. I like the 'Hellcat' idea that would look a great set. Bet it was cold in them open top jobs in the winter.

Just been looking at the AK pics again, and the guy drinking from the jerry can is a great figure.

Aussies luv to shorten names/words.

As a teenager on a school organized trip to several states I spent Two weeks in Alice Springs when our bus couldn't make it out due to lots of rain in the district. The Todd River usually runs under the sand like many Aussie inland rivers but at that time it was a rare raging torent. I also climbed Ayers Rock/Uluru on the trip when that climb wasn't considered offensive to the local Aboriginals. It's an impressive part of Australia to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there, I'm a Coastal-Rainforest kind of guy.

Alice Springs was founded in the 1870s when a telegraph station was built near a water hole of the dry Todd River. The Australian overland telegraph lines were to run north to south right through a town originally named Stuart.

The Todd River took its name from Superintendent of Telegraphs Charles Todd. A spring near the water hole was named after Todd’s wife Alice. Alice Springs turned out to be the more popular name and Stuart became Alice Springs in 1933.

Nevile Shute that wrote 'On the Beach' about a nuclear war also wrote 'A town like Alice' which increased public awareness of the town.

I love the idea of the Tropical ME109 (or any other tropical combat aircraft...wouldn't mind the Stuke coming in desert colors).

I tend to agree with everyone we're going to see AK. People keep referring to a photo of an AK airfield...anyone have a link to it?

Would love to see crusaders. Great great range that seems to keep getting better.

We know there's more Lighthorsemen/Ottomans coming up, although it may be too soon for that.

I think what I'm most looking forward to is the Chinese pirates (and Chinese Pirate Junk!) to finally pit my USN figures against.

Yes, the guessing is fun...but you know you're far gone when you're repeatedly clicking refresh on the K&C site:)
