Forthcoming Dispatches (1 Viewer)

I am hoping for a few normandy vehicles. The 8 wheeled puma, the brumbar, mark iv, a demag with an aa version and a steyer. As for retirements, there are a lot of earlier crusade sets and bulge sets hangin out there that could go bye bye

What do you think the chances are there will be poystone warbird? After the Typhoon and the Fokkers, will there be a break or will we see a new plane?

If there is Bulge releases i would like to see a winter motorbike and sidecar with MG ,winter hanomag, winter kubelwagon and winter panther also my favourite winter 88mm^&cool

Maybe a break I'd say. I know the guys a gagging for a Stuka but it or any other plane would be quite soon after the Typhoon wouldn't it, but then again K&C do surprise us sometimes.

Rob

I agree with Mitch, a Nebelwerfer would be a very interesting item. Something we have not seen yet from K&C!

I think there's probably a break.

I don't think the next plane is going to be Stuka. I'm not saying we won't get one - and it's on the top of my list in terms of Warbirds, so please prove me wrong Andy - but Andy mentioned that they were having issues with the bent wings, weren't they?

There was a list that Andy put out that I've reposted multiple times of K&C's planned WWII planes, and Andy has pretty much followed that list, in order. It didn't include desert RAF which we've heard is coming. I'll try to find it bagain.

EDIT: Here it is again:

(I) Hawker Hurricane (2 versions)
(II) P51 Mustang
(III) Messerschmitt Bf 108
(IV) Messerschmitt Bf 109 “F” Trop
(V) Supermarine Spitfire (1 version already another on the way)
(VI) Messerschmitt 163 “Komet”
(VII) Focke Wulf 190

On the immediate upcoming production schedule we have
(VIII) Messerschmitt 262 (PRODUCED as of this post)
(IX) P47 Thunderbolt (Due in May as of this post)
(X) Hawker Typhoon

And let’s not forget…
Junkers 87 “Stuka”
P38 Lightning
F4U Corsair
F6F Hellcat
Messerschmitt 109 “E”
Mitsubishi Zero

Plus the odd Russians or Italian too!"

I don't believe the unproduced planes are meant to be in order. The Stuka would make the most sense because of all the clamoring for it, as soon as K&C can get the bent wing thing straightened out.

What's interesting to me about that list is that there's a bunch of Pacific Theater planes there. Andy's said over and over again that he's not planning on revisiting the Pacific, but it's hard to imagine doing, say, a Zero w/out a Japanese crew.

I think the stuka is a way off and really, not a huge amount of people seem to want one. Think it would be no more popular than any other warbird in the overall scheme of things. This would be due to size and cost for many collectors.

I would expect before the stuka which, is having production issues with weight of polystone to see a BF109 for BOB say, Molders or Galland as we have yet to have these pilots portrayed properly in their own aircraft. I hope that the aircraft are back burnered for a short while and focus go where it rightly needs ground armour!!!!

I think there is a good point here, with apologies to Wayne and Panzerace I'd have thought a Battle of Britain ME109 would be much more popular than a Stuka?. As pointed out a couple of posts back its also pretty soon after Andy said they were having trouble with the Stuka wings, so I doubt we'll see it for a while. And anyway, who'd want to be in a Stuka? As one RAF B.OB. Pilot said ' Almost felt sorry for the Stuka Crews, you only had to get behind the things and they fell out the sky'!{eek3}

Rob

You have to think as a business move and an asthetic one the 109 would win hands down. The star of afrika was a very popular version of the mainstay of the luftwaffe and a BOB would be a great addition. A stuka was just a coffin for two of goerings flyboys when it dared to venture across the channel

l would love one day to see a Bolton Paul Defiant , but Andy did say that he thought the extra material involved would make it too expensive, if it was possible it sure would look good alongside Hurricane and Spit though^&cool

That's a great list of planes for sure. Personally I'm most excited about the prospects of getting a Me-109E from the Battle of Britain. I think that is a sure fire winner for K&C to release and a must have in most people's collection. If that P-38 comes in an Aluminum colour I'm all in too. Down the road a ways a Zero would be hard to resist as well. :redface2:

I am hoping for a another great Napoleon in Egypt release !!

Fingers crossed for more French Line Inf. {sm4}

Yes, both of these have been promised but as we have only just got more Egyptian Campaign figures, I hope more will come in time for Christmas to give me catch up time.

Fighting poses of the Line Infantry 1815 are coming, so I'd bet on them first,

BUT ...

What will fill NA212 to NA226 ????

More Gordons

OR New Cavalry ?????

Don't have a way of gauging interest in the Stuka other than the boards here. Of course, it we Treefroggers got everything we wanted Seal Team Six would be would flying over a column of Russian armor:)

While I'm someone who own or owned all the Poly Warbirds (wasn't thrilled with Rommels' Desert Taxi, and gave the Komet up for the ME-262), and I'd seem to be the target market for a BOB BF109...I have to say it doesn't excite me that much. I already own the Tropical/AK version (one of my favorite K&C pieces...really elegant design). I would want more than a new paint job, especially since the same plane would I'm sure cost quite a bit more now.

Not saying I couldn't be persuaded, but I'd rather see some planes we haven't seen rather than repaints.

Are there any German BOB planes we haven't seen that would be realistic to produce in poly?

A Bolton Paul Defiant is about the same size as a Hurricane Rob

I think its about 3ft longer Neil, wingspan is about the same, I guess with the turret it may weigh a little more, I think that's why Andy thought it may cost a bit more

Rob

Problems with weight and cost would make me think that a Me 109 for BOB would be the only option. A dornier or Ju 88 and Heinkel 111 in poly seems a flight of fancy. I know the Me110 was mentioned but, again a huge aircraft in poly so, I wonder whether this will be done. Even the stuka will be big and more expensive than the Typhoon. Someone may release a stuka with different mediums or, maybe, K&C have cracked the wing issues and just kept stumm for the while.

I would like to see pilots minus stands in positions standing in or near the cockpits of the aircraft or sitting on the wings etc just to add some variance

The wing issue didn't seem like something Andy had given up on, rather something that they were working on, so I have hope. With the success of the Owl, I could see Figarti trying to attempt some of the other planes you mentioned, but like you said, different materials.

I've been looking for a size comparison chart of WWII planes but haven't found one.

I agree with you about the pilots without the stands, provided they can, well, stand. It's a tricky thing, the only crew figure I have w/out a stand is the LW crewman on the ME-262's wing. He stands well (better than the plane, in fact).
