French farm house, a start. (2 Viewers)

I don't reckon there's any resemblance to you Toddy although I never saw you in your younger years!!! :wink2:^&grin

Tom

Yeah, did have a tad more hair on the noggin way back then mate.......unlike now, where me nut looks more like a Kiwi-fruit...{eek3}{sm5}^&grin

Every French Farm needs a well (I assume) so I made one........
Here I started with foam board shaped and brick work craved with balsa roof.

Then all under coated.........

I experimented next with painting and dry brushing.....seems to come out ok.....

Final results.....happy with it.

How it fits in with the other farm buildings......

Wayne.

"Well" mate, that's brilliant! ^&grin Seriously though, I reckon you don't need to buy any pre-made buildings or dio related products as you are a wiz at making them yourself!

Tom

Well well well what a master craftsman you are turning into ^&grin,i was going to wait till you had finished to comment but matey this is superb im really looking forward to the finished farm.

Wayne...

you do nice work!
Tom, Wayne and Mike...ta boys.

Well well well, there is a lot of work gone into that little piece. Useful in all sorts of scenes.^&cool, Robin.

My first attempt at casting, most impressed with the whole process I must say. Had some issues with air bubbles but that will take care of it's self with the more I do.
Below is the result of just two castings and about an hours effort, I have ordered five more moulds and will be casting heaps I think, many buildings to come.

Wayne....

Is this good Wayne, you have opened up a whole range of possibilities for structures, there is no end to this ^&grin, Robin. Nice job by the way.

Wayne mate, did you make the mold's or are they something you picked up? If so, any chance of sharing some pic's?
Cheers...the dodgy Kiwi.{sm4}

Wayne...

tap the molds with the edge of your putty knife after you pour them...and before you scrape the top of them...

you will see air bubbles release...

also be sure and use the "rinse agent" solution whe you spritz or dip them...that will take care of the bubbles...
