Gary's collection (1 Viewer)

The on mass colour is something to behold. Robin.

Thanks Robin. Took the best part of 6 hours to unpack, shoot and re pack the little buggers. Still have the First Legion trebuchet to photo but running out of time before I have to go back to the capital this evening. My wife has me doing domestic and maintence chores first AAHHH!

Gary

come on Gary...
fair is fair...
if she is gonna make you do domestic chores...
shouldn't she unpack the trebuchet and take pictures for us?

WOW!This is certainly a large and colourfull collection. When you collect a series you don't do it by half.

Wow Gary !

They sure make for a colourful display !:salute::

Thankfully I've not gotten into collecting the Crusades or other Medieval lines.

Steve

Not a lot this week just some John Jenkins stuff that came in a week or so ago. Gary

Still not a bad haul Gary. The Romans resting on their shields, sort of sums up your feelings, not much happening as far as purchases at the moment. ^&grin, Robin.

The JJD Roman Republicans really are great looking figures and I would collect them as well as the TG Imperials, alas no room. But Darn, they do look good !

Thanks Steve. I have decided now to focus on John's republicans as I have a hefty wedge of Tom's imperial boys. John's figures are really good. Are you sure you can't find a little space?

Gary

Again only a smattering of new arrivals this week. Some JJDs mid republic Romans and a huge short Sunderland seaplane from Thomas Gunn.

Great photos of some excellent new releases you've added to your collection Gary. I particularly like the JJD Roman gate.

I have been drafting a magazine article 'A Spanish Imposition' on Spain's involvement in the American War of Independence and in particular their attack on West Florida between 1779 and 1781. The British short lived tenure in this part of the world ending as Florida was ceded back to Spain in 1783 before of course the Yanks came in in the early 19th century. Interestingly Florida never split form Britain as the other colonies did. Being a safe haven for a while as the loyalists streamed in.

I also had some JJD figures come in and a surprise from TG in my Sunderland plane box.

Have that guy siting on the case coming my way. Can imagine me ending up like this once my Visa account comes in. Really liking these Home Front figures. Nice haul by the way Gary. Robin.

Great use of figures by Kronprinz. Galvez also laid siege and took Mobile prior to Pensacola. I have some of the same Kronprinz as you.
Have you seen the Alymer bastion at the TreefrogTreasures site?

Excellent diorama! Who makes the figures? The British soldiers look like Britains but what about the Spaniards?

Brendan

A little something from TG this week.
