I'm just glad that this topic has not become a storm in a t-cup.

Yeah, sorry ......... not. (I love my puns)^&grin^&grin

1st PS
Yes "he" ie me was talking about the fictional Ilsa as depicted in the film picture I posted.

2nd PS
The items were made from goat skin according to the histories. Ilse was not executed but was imprisoned for her crimes, committing suicide in 1967 whilst still in jail.

......and here was me thinking these were just military figures that blokes (and the occasional lady) played with for fun?!^&grin

Tut tut Andy for enjoying himself and producing something a little different, heaven forbid!!!

Keep it up Andy mate, there's plenty of happy blokes out here keen to see more.:salute::

Thanks Guys for all your comments and shades of opinion on the subject...A few more thoughts of my own...

Sorry to disappoint a few but 'Ilsa, She-Wolf of the SS'...will NOT be among the female figures K&C are producing ...'Lili Marlene' however most certainly will be! And 'Leni Riefenstahl' too...

As most of you know we design and produce several hundred new figures each year...I see no harm in , just occasionally, producing a little bit of fun or even fantasy in among them...A little bit of light relief never killed anyone.

Also, just finished the sketch of/for 'Milady de Winter' yesterday...Looking forward to seeing that sculpted in the not-so- distant future...When finished will be happy to post here!
In the meantime...All the best and enjoy the remainder of the weekend. Andy.

All tongue in cheek mate.

I wanted a stylized Ilsa on my shelf not Ilse.

I know exactly which Isla you were referring to, but my point was that Nazisploitation as a genre is pretty gross and that it has real life parallels to something that is pure evil.

I apologize if my original post was harsh, but please understand why there are some collectors out there who see this as a pretty significant line in the sand. You seem like a genuinely good person and I am not trying to call anything about you or others into question, I just think sexualizing Nazis is not a good thing.

I am looking forward to future "Belles of the Battlefield" releases. I Don't see these as poor taste at all but Good Fun.
Kids won't be playing with these $45.00 a piece figures. If they do then that is on you. If you collect and have small kids
around that may see your collection and you are concerned, just put these out of sight on upper display shelves.
The Illsa figure comes from a 1970's fictional film. Hope she is one of the "Belles" that is produced !
Another "Thinking out of the Box" approach by Andy and K&C.

I'm with Sandor on this. I don't collect nazis, but agree with the historical significance and understand their production. A stylized sexy nazi whore crosses a line for me. If that's not celebrating nazism, what is it, as there is zero historical significance, it's merely glamorizing a hideous group of people

That being said, I'm all for this type of figure in general. Whether I buy them or not, it's all in good fun!

"Puns"? Are you sure you don't mean "Buns"...there's been some misunderstanding with spelling/typos recently, I just want to check :wink2:

Andy, that's OK, Ilsa She-Wolf has been done already...well and truly apparently.

Sorry to disappoint you Wayne....but as I wrote earlier today...'Ilsa' will not be making an appearance...Although 'Leni' and 'Lili' most certainly will!

Best wishes and happy collecting, Andy.

Wow...this thread has caused as much controversy as some of the "my scale is better than yours" threads. Interesting to read the various opinions regarding Nazis and scantily clad females etc. Takes me back to 2005 when K & C released their "Summer German - Commander's Conference" set WS075. I recall a number of forum members getting upset about the smiling German officer in the Camo uniform.

Gentle Friends,

This thread has been fun for some and not so much fun for others. The latter portion of the discussion began to involve current political opinions and were deleted. I am closing this thread for now as most people have had the opportunity to post their thoughts regarding some specific figures soon to be released.

Thanks for your understanding.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat
