As July 3, 1863 dawns, members of the 2nd Maine Light of the Artillery Brigade (Third Division, First Corps) decide they will give the Rebs an artillery wake up call. Colonel Joshua Chamberlain watches the proceedings.

Not to be outdone, General Longstreet returns the favor by ordering Lieutenant C.W. Motes of Carleton's Troup (Georgia) Battery to open up!

The morning festivities over, General Longstreet takes a minute to discuss plans with General Lee.

Meanwhile, two Union officers appear to be discussing strategy.

Strategy? Balderdash! It's an escaped pig that might be the basis for a hearty breakfast!

Great photos and great figures, Brad!^&cool^&cool You can give Kevin a run for his money!:smile2:

Thank you all. I had received the Confederate Cannon a couple of months ago and just got the Union one this past week so something like that seemed a natural. The use of the pig was from the Bringing Home the Bacon Set that I traded with Martyn (he had an extra) and was just the spur of the moment thought.

You're too kind Louis. I was playing around with the camera and figured out how to do better closeups. Kevin is a genius of light.
