How dare you  Surely not National Treasure. I like Nickolas Cage movies. :p As for the others on your list - I was fortunately able to avoid them all. :D

But here are two I got bitten by

Ishtar - possibly the worst major studio movie of all time
Little Shop of Horrors

And although I didn't see it, I heard Gigli is really bad.

No Airplane is in a class by itself. I also liked Braveheart and Gallipoli but then I am not so worried about seeming slights to British history. You know I am a certified Anglophile but how countries are portrayed in films has never bothered me. Was the movie entertaining, now there's the key. Movies like Airplane make me think about reading the phone book.;):D

Airplane was out when we were at school.loved it.Leslie Neilsen is a legend,I'm guessing you don't like the Naked Gun films Bill?.Still if we all liked the same stuff it would be boring wouldn't it?.:);)

Rob

I thought the cockpit scene from Airplane (roger, over, etc.) was hilarious and on par with classics like Who's On First (Abbott & Costello)

That is true mate, very true. You are correct, I have never finished any of those films, which is rather rare for me. Now In the Loop, Death at a Funeral and The Hangover made me really howl. I wish I could rent The Thick of It, I think I would probably really like it.

NOW YOU'RE TALKING BILL!

As a Christmas present my darling wife got me 'In the Loop' and both dvds of 'The thick of it'.Superb stuff,I've hardly taken it out of the dvd player.Wonderful performances from all but especially the Scottish actor who plays Malcolm Tucker.

Peter Capaldi (Tucker) is hilarious; I have never scene ANYONE string so many "colorful metaphors" together with such a poetic rhythm.:D Gandolphini is also excellent, as are most of the main characters, especially Anna Chlumsky. There are so many side splitting lines but Tom Hollander (Simon Foster) delivers one of my favorites in his "extracts from the riot act".;):D

Bill you should try and get hold of 'the thick of it' Tuckers stream of abuse and surreal rants are classic, its an art form!;):D.In the series he has a Scottish sidekick who if anything is worse than Tucker and borderline physcotic!
