In Australia the equivalent is the 'Full Breakfast'.

Thanks for the best wishes.

I like Bacon & eggs, with some fried tomato and toast. Do you just add some sausages, or go mad with extras such as baked beans and those black pudding 'thingies' .

I have never eaten a baked bean - not one, not anywhere, not ever. The black pudding sounds disgusting, but the sausages are always a good addition.

I actually like baked beans, but only on toast, and sausage is a good addition but they vary so much in taste I rarely take a chance with them. As for black pudding, hard to beat that for disgusting, except maybe haggis.

For me a full English would be sausages, eggs, beans, bacon, fried bread, mushrooms. Apparently as you walk out of the restaurant you should feel your arteries narrowing, otherwise it isn't the 'full' English:wink2:

Got to agree with Oz here, couldn't pay me to eat black pudding or Haggis.

Happy Birthday Marty, hope the day went well with many surprises!

Being a Meat Physician you haven't lived until you eat the real deal,BLACK pudding is superb and as for a original HAGGIS i don't know where to begin sublime dining.

'Meat Physician' love that term Wayne!^&grin

Well, you make it sound good and I could maybe be sold on trying some Black pudding as it is very popular, but I'm still struggling with the idea of Haggis.

The real Wayne wouldn't say these things, what have you done with him {eek3} ^&grin

You've never eaten a baked bean! My wife won't eat them either. Mind you she won't eat Pineapple on a Pizza or Sweet and Sour either, she has a thing about mixing fruit with savoury. Me I just love Sweet and Sour Chicken.............look whats happening its getting near lunch and you guys have me thinking of my fave food now!^&grin:wink2:

Rob

Jack,
Not eaten a baked bean {sm3} Incredible.

Oz,
Sausage to eat would be Cumberland but not likely to get with most café breakfasts.

Rob,
Fried bread. Not had it for a long time. Guaranteed to get me into more trouble with Gerelou than the black pudding does.

For those with a thing about black pudding just think of it as a sausage. Cant belief some have not tried it.

This thread is trending as the most active thread. Need some input from Americans on good breakfast items (however this rules out pancakes with maple syrup which is a dessert as far as I am concerned).

Another favourite of mine is French toast with marmite on top.

Brett

Brett,

Whilst I hear what you are saying re US breakfasts, Pancakes and Maple Syrup are to die for over there. But just love having Breakfast at Denny's when we are over there, pretty much anything they serve up is delicious , but anything that features the word ' Slam' is the business!:salute:: 'Grand Slam' ' US Slam' build your own 'Slam'. They all feature eggs, bacon, hash browns, pancakes etc. Can be a bit filling before heading off on a day of sightseeing but gives you fuel for the day!^&grin:salute::

Cheesecake , cheesecake .....who mentioned cheesecake!^&grin:wink2:

Rob

No pancakes for this Yank, they truly are disgusting as are waffles.^&grin A really good breakfast consists of bacon, Spam, eggs, Spam, sausage, Spam, toast, Spam, home fries and of course more Spam ..... I love Spam. :p

You're not taking this food discussion seriously are you my friend?^&grin:salute::

I will overlook the naughty word you said about pancakes, but only because your country is also home of the Cheesecake factory which is pretty much a house of God to me:wink2:

Also had a delish Pizza at the Californian Pizza Kitchen in Floz.

I still haven't had my lunch you know!^&grin
