Have a good time as I enjoy myself with my displays (1 Viewer)

oooh Mike, you make me proud! Thaaaaank you!
I collect all the JJD Eighteen Century series (Snowshoes and Jacobites enclosed) and many sets of the Sudan War too.
I am very tempted by the WWI but I resist stoically.
Nevertheless looking at your stunning threads I believe that me and you we have half of the John's overall production!!..ha ha ha

I've just stumbled across your amazing thread Carlos and your displays are stunning. I love this period and have becoming increasingly more interested in it since joining TF and seeing such wonderful diorama's like yours. Can't thank you enough for placing them all in one continuous thread too.:salute::

Look forward to seeing more!!

Cheers Toddy

many thanks to Farmertony, Luiz, Wayne, Brett, Larry, Marco and Robin for their nice comments and likes. I post some other miscellanea shots for the FIW fans like me. There is also a Ticonderoga scene quite in 3D.
Cheers
Carlo

Who made the artillery in the fort picture (second from the bottom)?

This was a nice piece of a partwork dedicated to the artillery available in Europe by Editions Atlas some years ago. There were various scenes composed of figures and guns. All the cannons were very well made, I was lucky to get some of the naval cannons at a cheap price to furnish my FIW forts. Today is quite scarce.
Cheers

Simply wonderful. Whenever I need a FIW fix or some inspiration, I still visit the "Garage". So if some of your things are missing --- like some grass or a few ducks ---- blame me. Planning a raid on your cattle soon!!!

Mike Miller told me the secret of your grass, brilliant simplicity ----- I marveled on how seamless it was and how the figures popped in the photos ---- I spent hours trying to figure out how you did it, but until Mike told me, I was totally clueless ^&grin^&grin^&grin. Never would have figured it out --- just proving simple can work.

You did not post the series of photos of the British columns and regulars marching into the Boonesboro fort - those are among my very favorites ---- completely addicted to marching columns - Page 1, Seventh Row from the Bottom, Left Photo.

As a aside, you would think some manufacturer would produced a good quality garrison cannon without figures, but there are none. Maybe 18-pounders and a bulkier 36 pounder.

Thanks for posting!!

Carlo, you have a great talent for terrain and background scenery. Well blended with your outstanding forts and villages. Enjoyed the whole series. Chris

Ken, many thanks for your kind comments. Would be nice an issue of a garrison cannon from Jenkins, you are right no manufacturer considered the matter.
I enclose some pictures of the display you mentioned, I love (like you) the British columns in North America!!

I built some desert Forts for a collector friend in the States, two of them are on the way for his collection. I took some shots before their shipping.
