well, after spending most of the day scraping paint from flaking sets and fighting with magnets my mind is frazzled!!! so, I thought it would be nice to pop some pics of some grey sets as there is a interest in early war grey at the moment. Here is a few of my favourite K&C sets that I have had opportunity to play around and repaint and convert. panzer Meyer command car, a panzer III which, I think is an excellent release and was originally the DAK version that's just been discontinued and, the Stug was an DAK version which, I changed into quite a well known Stug named Hildegard though, with my camera skills you can't make out the decal!! and, the DAK 105mm gun and half track which, is in a temporary base of static grass until I get around to making a larger base

Anyone else with a grey interest feel free to pop in wants, repaints, general releases new and old or anything else
Mitch

Other than what's left of my hair, the grey that turns my eye here is the halftrack & 105mm gun, would not mind those at all, thanks for posting, cheers, Robin.

Mitch ,

All very impressive & as always brilliantly done by you !! I love the Sdkfz 11 & Pzkpfw III...I like how you repainted the crew figures from DAK to European style...Also with my keen eye spotted that cloth air regonition flag...Did you buy that or have it made ?! I have been using one's i printed out on copier paper...That flag lends to the vehicle a real sense of realism in it's own right ! Love the post & great topic & work !

I second this. The addition of the cloth flag does a lot to enhance the look of the piece.

Some really great work here.

:)

Joe/Shane...

Thanks for that. The air recon flag was made from cotton and sent through the printer and then folded. I think you can get this type of cotton from most craft stores which, will take the print from a computer then its just cut them down to the size required. Its the same with the one on the converted Panzer Meyer command car.

I thought you may like the Panzer III look forward to some more of your repaints etc soon

Great collection Mitch. Chris

Thanks for the comments everyone. I have attached as Joe is keen on tank commanders and, with the new 38T needing extra figures a couple of shots of the best early war Tiger released well IMO anyway repainted grey and, the outside standing officer cut down to size and repainted.

In my opinion, you should make a red point in the beret ensign, because seen up close, it could look like the ss skull....{sm2}
