Found another 3x pic's that don't have huge shadows everywhere, although the Panther shot is a little out of focus.

I made the stone wall out of little cut down bits of polystyrene into bricks, which I individually painted and glued together. The bricks ended up a bit too big and chunky and a little dark, so I throw lots of woodland scenic stuff at them to disguise them.

Anyway I had fun fiddling about and learned quite a bit using different paints.

Thanks for the advice Robin, I definitely need to do something more with the lighting and the stands sound like a great idea.

Cheers!

Like these new added photos ! Always a fan of WWII British Para's and German Armor ! :salute::

Thanks mate, yeah I have a few more pic's to post which I took quickly last weekend. I still have to get the whole backdrop & lighting thing sorted out though.

In the meantime feel free to post any 'playtime' snaps on this thread......the more the better I say. {sm4}

Cheers Toddy

Somewhere near Arnhem, a couple of poor, exhausted and battered Para's have been cornered by some prowling SS.

But wait all is not lost, help is literately just around the corner, as a small rag-tag bunch of mates silently approach, past a knocked out SPG......

Good little story unfolding here, will the tables be turned around, time will tell^&cool, Robin.

Nice crisp photo's, makes for viewing that much better by the way. ^&cool, Robin.

Thanks guys, really appreciate the feedback.:salute:: The pic's were taken outside, using an I-phone. Next step is to start using some form of back drop to help give it more depth.

I've leaned so much from completing this and thoroughly enjoyed doing it. I've been inspired for years by all the wonderful displays posted on TF and after my visit to Brissy in July thought it was about time I had a crack at it.

I searched and searched but your groundwork and foliage is so well done I can't for the life of me spot any sheep! which I know are there somewhere, their camo smocks must be very good....:wink2:^&grin
Wayne.

Welcome Dron.

Thanks for the welcome Wayne.

I've collected King and Country for about 8 years, I've also started oil painting see attached image of a painting I finished of a Churchill tank earlier this year.

I hope you like.
Cheers

Mate........very cunning Kiwi sheep, they're off like a rat up a drain-pipe when it's all hitting the fan, but come dinner time they're back with a vengeance, like a herd of wild buffalo{eek3}^&grin

Apologises for the late reply too, been out of town with the family for a few days, hitting the waves and getting sand in places where sand shouldn't be, if you get my drift. {sm4}

Thanks to everyone for the nice feedback and all the likes and lookers.:salute::

Nice job on the diorama display base and great looking set ups to go with it.

It was great fun "walking" through all of the individual scenes. I like the para about to run up the stone steps.

Steve

Thanks Duke & Steve, yeah I had loads of fun building the base and taking a few snaps. Like Wayne said earlier I must try disguising the bases a bit more and find myself a couple of backdrops.
Cheers^&grin
