Heco Tinplate Models (1 Viewer)

I am happy to say that I was able to get Michael his third Heco plane, a very nice Sopwith Camel in the special box made for Heco items sold through Under Two Flags (a royal blue box with a De Haviland Demon Biplane depicted on the front).

At the same time I got myself a third Heco Fokker DR1, in slightly different markings (I already had two, both red, one with a white tail, one with a black tail), red, with a green nose, a black skull and cross-bones on the upper wing, and a stylized "AE" on the top of the fuselage just in front of the tail.

I wonder if this could be an homage to the 1930 version of the movie "The Dawn Patrol". In this film, a Pfalz D.XII was given a fictitious red color scheme and a distinctive skull and crossbones on its fuselage. In the film, it was flown by the fictitious ace von Richter, a stereotypically fearsome German fighter pilot.

I just snagged a Heco two seat pusher plane.:cool: It is not a Vickers Gunbus, like the two seat pusher plane I already have. I think it might be either a Royal Aircraft Factory FE2b or an earlier, less detailed, model of the De Haviland DH1 that Mike (Maddicus) owns. Photos to follow upon receipt.:)

Mike (Maddadicus) and my new Heco planes arrived today. I will be forwarding Mike's on to him tomorrow, and I will take some shots of my new Fokker DR1 triplane alongside my other two - one has a black nose & black tail, the second has a black nose and white tail, and the new one has a green nose and tail, with a skull and crossbones on the top wing and a stylized "AE" on the top of the tail. I will probably have to wait until Brad gets back from China to post them.

My new pusher plane should arrive Tuesday, so photos of it will follow as well.

My new pusher plane arrived, and I am taking some photos of it today. As soon as Brad gets back I will send them on to him to post for me.:)

I will be back on Monday, reporting for duty (and work, with god knows how many bloody emails waiting for me, since my Blackberry crapped out) Sir :D

You will find I sent you a welcome home, along with 8 photos of the two newest Heco planes in my collection with a polite request that you post them on this thread.:)

Thank you Louis. I will get them on later. Suffering from jet lag. Got a total of about two to three hours today. Not sure if I'm tired or not. Just operating on Chinese time.

Here are the photos :)....

Michael, how about some photos of your new Camel?

I had to rework the angle of the wheel struts and repaint the pilot, but I will post a pic tomorrow. Based on the stamp underneath, this was an earlier model and not as polished as later efforts. I am not griping, but noting the obvious. The more you make of a piece, the better you get at it...Love the camo pattern..Michael

Beautiful lot of pushers. What a great collection. -- Al

Thanks, Al. :) However, if you like these, you should check out Michael's (Maddadicus') De Haviland Pusher plane (I think its on page 4 of this thread), it is late production, and is really well detailed.:cool:

So that Louis stops yelling at me...Shown are 1st Gear Camel, Out of business aluminum SE 5, my Heco Pusher...Michael
