Heco Tinplate Models (2 Viewers)

Tim Tyler, who is sending me the Heco Spad XIII that Hans got for me at the Westcoaster, sent me some photos of it. It is late production, with a three dimensional prop, full wire details, and hand painted markings, not decals.^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool

I have forwarded the photos to Brad with a polite request that he post them for me on this thread.

I am guessing that a lot of your collection are the early period variety. So as hard as you are looking for these planes, someone has to be hiding all the better detailed later planes..I do wonder based on your catalogue and product list references, what percentage of each plane made was a later model type? .I am starting to feel so lucky I found my late era Pusher. The Spad is quite a beauty. Nice paint and lines look good. A very nice acquisition. -- Al

Thanks Al! As Hans got me this Spad as a gift, I thought I would initiate a new Heco collector into the fraternity and gave my new friend Currahee Chris one of my Fokker DR1 triplanes.:wink2:

And I sincerely thank you for it. I am really amazed at how light they are.

My Spad XIII arrived today. Its really detailed late production, and I can't thank Hans enough for getting it for me, and Tim enough for shipping it to me. :smile2: I will take some photos of it later and see if Brad or Terry can post them for me.:wink2:

I just sent Terry (Phantom Warrior) four photos of my new Spad 13, produced in 1996 in the markings of the 94th Aero (Hat in the Ring) Squadron, next to a very early production King & Country Spad 13 in the markings of Eddie Rickenbacker's Spad 13 from the same squadron, produced in 1991, with a polite request that he post them on this thread.:smile2:

Beautiful models. Very colorful. That air force of Louis' has grown to quite an impressive size. May need to open another aerodrome for all the future JJD and KC WW1 aircraft coming down the pike. ^&grin -- Al

The Spad bearing #2 is in the markings of the plane flown by 2/Lt Philip W Davis in May, 1918.

There must be a lot of interest in Heco Tinplate Models!:wink2:

Anyone planning on attending the Valley Forge Show who has a Heco Tinplate Model for sale, please let me know as I will be attending both days.:smile2:

I'm really going to be on the lookout for any Heco Tinplate Models and A.W. Military Figures at the Valley Forge Show this weekend. Plus, I will be picking up a Trophy WWI Lorry pulling a Gun and Limber I've already purchased. I will post photos of the Trophy Lorry next to my Heco Tinplate Lorries, along with a Tommy Atkins Lorry, a Toy Army Workshop Lorry, and another metal WWI Ambulance I have from a British cottage maker.

I just got an e-mail forwarded to me by my former secretary. My old friend Chris, the gentleman who sold me my first few Heco items nearly ten years ago, was looking for my e-mail address. I can only hope he came across something Heco for me, so I immediately e-mailed him. Keeping my fingers crossed . . . :wink2:

No such luck. He has some nice custom wood WWII German aircraft made in the Philippines for sale, but no new Heco stuff.:(

At the show today, Tom Dubel presented me with an awesome A.W. Military Figures Royal Artillery Field Gun diorama. It is absolutely amazing, and made my whole day. I will take some photos once I set it up tomorrow and send them to Brad with a polite request that he post them for me.:smile2:

I sent Brad 3 photos of the new A.W. Military Figures Artillery Mini-Diorama with a polite request that he post them on this thread.

I also sent Brad five photographs of all of my WWI vehicles, including 6 Heco Tinplate Models Tanks, armored cars, trucks and ambulances, the Trophy Dennis Lorry siege train, two Toy Army Workshop vehicles (a Renault FT17 Tank and a small truck), a Tommy Atkins Troop Transport Lorry carrying highlanders, and an HM Miniatures or JM Miniatures (I forget the name of the little cottage industry producer) WWI ambulance. I asked him to post these photos on this thread as well.

I also have a Britains Premier Charles Biggs Thornycraft Antiaircraft Lorry, but I didn't dig it out of storage when I took the photos this morning.
