Heco Tinplate Models (3 Viewers)

Thanks to Brad (Jazzeum), who sent me a scanned version of the Heco Tinplate Models pages of the MKL Models catalogue, I can add several model numbers to models I already knew Heco produced, as well as several new items I was unaware Tony and Adele had produced. Here are the new model numbers and/or models from the MKL Catalogue (previously unknown models in bold):

Gloster Gladiator HO49
Tiger Moth Trainer HO57
German A7V WWI German Tank HO62
Self Propelled Anti Aircraft Gun HO63
Fiesler Storch HO73
Hawker Fury HO74
Model T Ford Ambulance HO77
Mobile Radar on Underslung Chassis HO86

A.E.C. Matador General Service Lorry WWII HO88
Skeleton Camel HO90
Siemen's Schuckert WWI HO91
Steam Traction Engine HO93
Fairey Swordfish HO94

Maybe Brad can post the actual catalogue pages, so you can see the seven photographs of a Spad in British markings, a Crossley Armored Car, a Fokker DR1 Triplane, a Type 52 Radar Nissen Hut, a Tiger Tank and an SE5a.

After seeing these in person, I realzie the photos and catalog pics, do not do them any justice. They are really "stunning" when viewed in person.

I completely agree, Walt. Neither the catalogue photos nor (especially) my poor efforts at photography {sm2} do these tinplate masterpieces justice. I promise that once Kevin (Panda1gen) is feeling well enough to visit me again, I will carry all my Heco aircraft, vehicles, structures and figures out to the back yard, and get Kevin, the best toy soldier photographer in my opinion, to take some proper photographs in natural sunlight. Kevin's photos brought out the best in K&C products for our books, and I believe he can actually do Heco Tinplate Models justice as well.:wink2:

Louis, your photo of the armored car is actually one of the best I have ever seen. So you have done an excellent job.

Believe me Walt, Kevin would do much better. Go to the Glossy King & Country forum, and look for the thread on the Glossy K&C Book. There is a link to the book on line, where you can view the first 15 pages. He did all the photography in the book, and its exceptional.

Here is a link to Volume I of the King & Country book (click on "Author's Bookstore" for Volume III). Just click on "preview book" and take a look at Kevin Elliott's photographs of the old K&C glossy stuff, and imagine what he could do with Heco Tinplate Models.

Larry, who picked up 3 magnificent CJB Models vehicles (2 Lorries and a Radio Car) passed one of the two trucks along to me. Thanks Larry! :smile2: I picked it up yesterday, and it is exceptional.

When the new Rolls Royce Armored Car arrives, I will take a few shots of it with the CJB Models Lorry and the Britains Premier Thorneycraft AAA Lorry I dug out of storage while looking for a non-existent Chas. Stadden Box for Bernard, and politely ask Brad to post them on this thread.

I just got the paper work for the paid auction invoice in the mail. I paid $100 for the auction winning bid, and $43 for a buyers premium and shipping. For a 43% markup, they can get the invoice to me in less than a month, but the Armored Car still hasn't arrived. Go figure.

My new Rolls Royce armored car finally arrived safely. I will take some photos of my four Rolls Royce armored cars, as well as some WWI vehicle comparison photos which include my newest CJB Models truck and the Britains Premier Thorneycraft Anti-Aircraft truck, and send them to Brad with a polite request that he post them on this thread.:smile2:

I sent Brad nine photos of my WWI vehicles, including three photos of my four Heco Tinplate Models Rolls Royce Armored Cars, with a polite request that he post them on this thread:smile2:.

Here are the photos. I will leave it up to Louis to describe what's what.

Thanks Brad!

The first three photographs depict Heco Tinplate Models WWI British armor: 4 Rolls Royce Armored Cars (the new one is the one in two tone desert camouflage with the red "G" flag flying from the turret) and a Mark IV Tank.

The last two photos depict artillery and medical related vehicles, as well as a Renault FT17 Tank. The vehicle in the close up shot is my new CJB Models British Lorry (courtesy of Larry Lo). The other vehicles are a CJB Models Ambulance, a Heco Tinplate Models Ambulance, a Trophy Dennis Lorry pulling a gun and limber, a Britains Premier (Charles Biggs) Thorneycraft Anti-aircraft Truck, and a Toy Army Workshop Renault FT17 Tank. The 8 Inch Howitzer deployed alongside the road is a Heco Tinplate Model.

Good grief, LB. That is a fantastic display of vehicles. I love that WW1 stuff with all those early model trucks and large artillery guns. The AC's are really nice and varied in appearance. The Britains Premier and Trophy are some of the nicest ever made. -- Al

Thanks Al! You really can't go wrong with WWI vehicles made by Heco Tinplate Models, CJB Models, Trophy, Britains Premier, Tommy Atkins, Toy Army Workshop or Bengurion Models.:wink2:

I am going to take a few shots of my interwar years/WWII Heco Tinplate Vehicles, including a Rolls Royce Halftrack, Rolls Royce Armored Car, AEC Matador Lorry, and two Tiger Tanks, and again impose on Brad to post them for me.:smile2:
