Heco Tinplate Models (2 Viewers)

The second box from the Heco collection arrived safely. There were 4 more planes for Ed Curiel, and 2 more of mine in this box. These are the nicest, custom production Hecos I've ever seen. The third box is on its way.:smile2:

I sent Brad a photo of my latest Heco acquisition, a Royal Flying Corps General Purpose Truck, with a polite request that he post it on this thread.:smile2:

The third box arrived safely today.:smile2: Now all of Ed's planes have arrived, four of Michael's have arrived, and four of mine have arrived. Sorry Clive, none of your's yet.:eek:

Correction, all 5 of Michael's planes have arrived, all of Ed's planes have arrived, and only 3 of mine and none of Clive's.{eek3}

Re: Wanted: Heco Tinplate Vehicles

great looking planes brad. They have to be the pride of your collection. The pnly time i saw any for sale was at ostn in 1995 and they said the planes and vehicles were all spoken for that were at their table. Probably you and louis undoubtedly. Great stuff. Thanks for the pics.

Actually, many of the Heco Tinplate planes, vehicles, artillery and mini-dioramas offered for sale at the 1995 OTSN went to Jack Carleton of Le Petit Soldat, a Toy Soldier Shop in St. Louis, Missouri. I purchased several of them from him late in 2011, after having the good fortune of meeting him and chatting with him at Jim Hillestad's open house, and photos of several appear on this thread.:smile2:

This has got to be one of the most interesting threads on the forum, some real eye openers here! ^&cool {bravo}}

I couldn't agree more, Jeff.:smile2: Hope to have a photo of a Heco V1 buzz bomb base diorama to add to the thread in the next day or two.:wink2:

My last two aircraft from the collection arrived today, a big British F2b bi-plane bomber (about twice the size of a Heco biplane fighter), and a HUGE Lohner Flying boat (easily three times the size of the F2b). ^&cool^&cool The big planes were individually boxed, so only Clive's big Gunbus hasn't arrived yet.

I sent Brad a photo of a Heco V1 Buzz Bomb diorama I just purchased, to go with the two Buzzbombs and crew I already have, with a polite request that he post it on this thread.:smile2:

When it arrives, I will take some photos of the diorama with the two Heco Buzzbombs on carts and crew.

Clive's enormous and highly detailed pusher plane arrived today, and it is as big as my Lohner Seaplane, and could be the best plane of the lot.^&cool^&cool I am glad, as Clive's grandfather actually flew in one of these.

I have to take some photos of a beautiful Heco Ansaldo SVA-5 BiPlane I recently obtained. Its a late WWI Italian fighter in really spectacular hand painted markings.^&cool^&cool
