Heco Tinplate Models (1 Viewer)

Re: Wanted: Heco Tinplate Vehicles

Hi Louis
Just reading your thread and noticed you wanted WW1 armoured cars. William Britain produced a Royal Navy spotter vihicle with two figures - is this the thing you are looking for? not sure if it is a Rolls though!

Thanks Frank, it is a Rolls Royce open top armored car, and I already bought one and gave it to my friend Morgan, who collects only Rolls Royce Military vehicles. I appreciate your thinking of me, though.:)

I am looking for Heco tinplate vehicles, they don't have to be Rolls Royce.;)

Thanks again to Brian! These are shots of the Heco Naval Garrison Gun diorama bought by my friend Clive from the same collection (he also got an anti-aircraft gun and SE5a identical to the ones photographed from my collection).

Another good friend, Hans, has obtained a Heco Nissan Hut for me, which I should receive next week.:cool: Upon receipt more photos will be forthcoming!

Re: Wanted: Heco Tinplate Vehicles

Has anyone else got any Heco Tinplate items they can photograph and post on this thread? I would love to see some photographs of the ships Heco made, including the WWI German Gunboat (waterline model) as well as some of the other WWI and WWII vehicles.

Re: Wanted: Heco Tinplate Vehicles

I just purchased a wonderful Heco two seater Bleriot Monoplane.:cool: Photos will be posted on arrival. :)

Michael,

I promise you, anything I come across that I already have I will pass your way. :) Believe me, there is a lot of Heco out there - Heco made more than 100 different sets, and multiples of each, its just a matter of scaring them up. I have obtained a few at the Chicago Show over the years, and have even found a few pieces in Toy Soldier Shops. Just keep your eyes open. Besides, one of the best Heco items I ever saw was your De Havilland Pusher plane, so you are off to a great start!:cool:

Re: Wanted: Heco Tinplate Vehicles

The two seater Bleriot Monoplane arrived, and it is awesome!!:cool::cool::cool: I will take photos tonight, and forward them to Brad with a polite request that he post them for me . . .

Re: Wanted: Heco Tinplate Vehicles

I e-mailed our good friend Brian (Warbuff26) 5 photos of the new Bleriot with a polite request that he post them.

I still haven't received the Heco Nissen Hut, and will take more photos when it arrives.

Re: Wanted: Heco Tinplate Vehicles

Hi Louis,

What a great series of sets you have! Do you have the Tiger I they made?

I am thinking we might need to start a thread just for these models and the photos.

Yes Dave, I have the Tiger . . . there's a photo of it on this thread. I have kind of been trying to use this thread as a thread to depict every possible photograph of Heco items I can come across.

Re: Wanted: Heco Tinplate Vehicles

Is there any definitive list out there of what Heco actually made? Michael

Brad was unable to upload the catalogue that I scanned and e-mailed to him. I am going to type out the list from the catalogue, to give you (and everyone else) a taste of what Heco produced back in its hayday (as you can see there are many model numbers skipped in this particular catalogue, indicating that there are many more models produced in other year's catalogues):

Re: Wanted: Heco Tinplate Vehicles

As you can see from the model numbers, Heco produced at least 60 aicraft, 56 vehicles, and 72 buildings, boats, dioramas and guns, for a minimum total production of 188 items!

Anyone with other catalogues or other Heco items not listed in the above post, please let me know, and if possible, post photos, as it is my intention to create a definitive on line catalogue of Heco products on this thread.
