HIRIART French Military Parade, 1914 (1 Viewer)

Here is another example of a Hiriart catalog set, 1217 WW II German Fallschrimjaegers, which has a special non-catalog variation, in this case in white camoflauge uniforms. There is also different catalog set, 1299 Parade Fallscrimjaeger.

Here is probably a better example of a basic catalog set which has been made into a least five different special sets. Catalog set 1154 Deutsches Infanterie, 1914, with the men wearing picklehaub helmets has also been made into the following specials:

Deutsches Infanterie, 1917 wearing stalhelms

Deutsches Dragoner, 1914

Deutsches Artillery Gun Team, 1914

Deutsches Infanterie Band, 1914

Deutsches Infanterie wearing circa 1914 uniforms with stalhelms

I posted photos of the artillery gun team and the last set mentioned on post #113. I have five of these six sets (no dragoons).

Here is another example of a basic catalog set being made into several non-catalog variations. The basic catalog set 1043 Liebstandarte Adolph Hitler with a Hitler personality figure has been made into a version with the figures at present arms (I have it with an officer, bugler & 7 men plus an add-on set with 9 additional men), another version with motorcycles which I also have, a version wearing white tunics, and a version of a band in white tunics.

Just a comment regarding how the files I have attached seem to be listed in random order rather than the order I selected them which corresponded to the narrative above.
Sorry about that, but I don't know the solution.

The group formation that contains 30 figures in the previous post includes a figure of Himmler from set 1302 which is hard to see due to the angle of the photo. Here is a photo of set 1302 SS Staff with a Himmler personality figure.

Here are two non-catalog sets representing World War II Italians in North Africa:

1197 Italian Infantry 1940 SPECIAL desert Bersaglieri

1207 CV33 Carroarmato Ansaldo Tankett SPECIAL desert version

I am not aware of any other toy soldier manufacturer who has a CV33 tankett in their product line.

Here are photos of two sets that I had previously posted only partial photos of before. Now you can see the complete 1057 Royal Air Force and 1085 US 3rd Inf "Honor Guard" Regt. sets. Plus there is a third photo of the 1047 German Luftwaffe non-catalog set with a close-up of the Goering personality figure.

Here is a photo of a set I somehow failed to attach prior to this; I am sure that there are others.

Oops! That last photo was actually set 1077 Kremlin Guards with a Stalin personality figure. I sometimes have a little trouble with the Spanish translation which on the list of sets refers to set 1077 as "Infanteria Rusa (USSR)." The 1077 set label on the box more correctly identifies it as "CCCP Guard of Honor." In any case, here is a photo of set 1037 Soviet Red Guards winter which I originally wanted to post.

I am posting a new photo of set 1148 Imperial German Totenkopf Husaren. The one I posted last year was too dark and of poor quality; this one is much better. I have this set as a special double sized box version with an officer, bugler, and eight Husaren. I also have another special version as a mounted band with a drum horse and eight musicians. Alsa, both sets are still in their boxes and not displayed.

In 2009, I asked Hiriart to make me a special version of set 1254 WW II Finnish Infantry. The regular 1254 catalog set had the Finns wearing something akin to dress uniforms with soft alpine caps while I also wanted a different set where they were wearing combat uniforms. Using the colour plates in Osprey's Men-At-Arms Number 131 "Germany's Eastern Front Allies 1941-45" as a guide, I asked that they be made with dark gray German-style helmets, dark gray trousers, and lighter gray tunics. Here are photos of the two sets.

BTW, I am using the above mentioned Osprey book to have additional German Eastern Front allies made as specials. My pending 2011 order includes Slovak and Hungarian Infantry in 1941. The Slovaks should be wearing the Czech-style helmet with blue rim and Slovak cross and the Hungarians should be wearing dark khaki German-style helmets, dark khaki trousers, and a lighter khaki tunic. In 2012, I will order Rumanians and the Italian Savoia Cavalry Regiment, 1941. I am also ordering WW II Polish Infantry, 1939, this year and will order WW II Dutch Infantry, 1940, next year.

There is an expanded non-catalog set of Royal Marines currently on eBay. The figures are all standing with a drum and bugle corps, colour party, or at present arms.

There is an eBayer currently selling four Hiriart sets with 11 figures (an officer & 10 men) for an asking price of $79.99 per set versus the list price of $120 for nine figures. That works out to a little over $7 per figure. He has Scots Guards, Irish Guards, Royal Welsh Fusiliers, and English Fusiliers, all marching. They are unboxed.

Attached are photos of a couple of Canadian sets which I have not posted before:

1201 The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (9 foot figures)

1201 The Royal Canadian Mounted Police SPECIAL 5 mounted figures

1273 The Royal 22nd Regiment (the Beavers) Colour Party

Here are a couple on non-catalog set specials that I noticed on Italian dealer Stefano Alorini's website. He can be found at www.saimextoys.com. He speaks very good English if you want to correspond with him. The two sets are Race Horses and Musketeers. I believe I provided a photo of the race horses on a wooden plinth display earlier.

I just received a photo of set 1336 World War I German Jaegers (running) from Hiriart. Two years ago, I ordered a special non-catalog set of WW I German Jaegers (marching) with an officer, bugler, and seven men. It is now regular catalog set 1337. Here are photos of both sets.

Here are two more sets that I have not posted a photo of before: 1041 Zulus and 1266 Holding the Line, 24th Regiment of Foot. I have Zulus from Trophy, Imperial, and Frontline, but none are quite like Hiriart's with the tigers and flauna.
