Honour Bound Pics (1 Viewer)

Honour Bound has finally figured out how to do polystone tanks without the mud between the wheels or "lichen look" inside the tracks -- you can actually see between the first two wheels.

I agree, it's pretty good detail for a Polystone product, and that extra attention to detail is appreciated by the more discerning collectors - like me :)

Hi Guys,

Just saw both your new Panther and your website – First class work on both counts … and original, well done!

Welcome to the 1:30 Club.

Best wishes,

Andy C. Neilson

Thank you, Andy. We appreciate your words and your welcome very much. No need to say how much we admire your work, you already know that (we wouldn't have joined the 1:30 club if we wouldn't:) )

Thanks again. Warm regards,

Ana

Thanks for the link Ana.

Excellent pics of a great model. I'm very impressed with the Panther, especially the zimmerit effect.

Hopefully i'll be able to get these in the UK.

Dear Eazy,

The best way to have a UK dealer is that UK collectors ask their usual dealers to carry Honour Bound ;)

Take care,

Ana

How many sets are going to be release in Feb. and when will the rest of the Panthers debut.

Alex, I thought maybe this was a trick question after the brouhaha on the King & Country thread. :p

I don't really have a UK dealer. I only usually buy K&C and that comes from K&C UK and i can't see them stocking your product somehow!

Will you be at the London Toy Show selling them? if so maybe closer to the time i could reserve one with you to collect then?

I might go to London for March show, that's a good suggestion. If I can't make it, I'll definitely be there in June.

Thanks,

Ana

What exactly is a Bergepanther?

Its a Panther converted to a tank recovery vehicle.

Honour Bound has just listed all their new dealers on their website. We are one of them and we are happy to carry such a nice product line.

I am very excitred about where Honour Bound will be going with their products. We should see lots of things that have not been produced yet. The quality of the product is great which means as time goes on they should be even better.

We would like to thank Honour Bound for making us part of their future.

Thanks Alex. An interesting choice to produce. Give them credit for originality. Did I understand correctly that there would be 3 different Panthers available in Feb? I assume that means different turret numbers and crew figures. Anyone know the price?

Wow, the Bergepanther is an awesome concept. Andy had been discussing producing a tank recovery vehicle for some time, and I thought it would be a great edition to a diorama involving a moving armored column (one of the Tank recovery vehicles towing a broken down tank off to the side of the line of march, an all to frequent occurrence in WWII armored warfare). Looks like Ana has grabbed the idea, and I look forward to seeing how Honour Bound executes it.

From what I understand these will be priced similar to King and Country and that the turrets will have different numbers and I assume different crews based on the amount of figures shown on the web site.

I think they will be priced at $105 and also remember that these tanks are not made of the same material as K&C tanks. Ana will these tanks be lighter than K&C tanks?

At the International Toy Show in Boston last summer (2005), Andy told me that he had narrowed down producing a logistics support vehicle to either a Dragon Wagon or a Tank Transporter Truck. He indicated that he had decided to produce the tank transporter truck, which would be close to three feet long, and would be the first of a series referred to as "King & Country King Size" which was supposed to be released around Christmas. I said, while such a huge vehicle would be cool, it would never sell well because of the amount of display space it would command, not to mention the fact that it wouldn't really fit in with the combat stuff K&C produces (I really can't imagine one of these trucks anywhere within artillery range of the front). Christmas came and went without the vehicle being mentioned again, so I assume Andy is rethinking his decision. Wouldn't it be great if he changed his mind and produced the Dragon Wagon instead?

I thought Andy said somewhere along the way that he had decided not to produced the Tank Transporter vehicle.

Hi Guys,

There will be 3 different Panthers, with different numbers on the turrets (424, 422 ans 421), different crews and some details that will make each of them unique. The crews are the following:424) Barkmann, driver and officer with camouflaged trousers standing, with map. 422) 1 officer and 1 NCO, 1 standing, one sitting on tank. 421) 1 officer and 2 tankists handling ammo.

Camouflage will be same pattern but different painting, since they are different tanks. One of the vehicles won't have skirts on the sides, one will have them both, and the last one will have them damaged. There will be spare wheels attached to the turrets, different spare tracks, jerry cans, canteens, helmets pending on the turrets side, loose jackets and guns.

Price will be $105 for any of them. They will be all available approximately by mid february for dealers, so collectors will be able to get them by the end of the month.

Alex: I don't think they will be lighter than K&C's, they'll probably weight quite the same or slightly heavier. Although the material is similar, they have several small metal pieces, mainly accesories that go (firmly) attached to the tank.

Ana

What's the expected release date on the Bergtespanther? Will it come with a crew of tank mechanics? Will the panthers presently being released have hooks that can be connected to the recovery vehicle?
