How Southern Are You? (1 Viewer)

Brad mate,
Does being from the Southern States of Australia count??^&grin I scored 80% and my good rebel mate Tim Tyler thinks I qualify and we fly the bonnie blue flag here Downunder. "Hurrah, Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag" Love that song. I think I must have lost the final 20% for not putting fruit in my beer. Those Texans have some strange habits.^&grin
Cheers y'all, Howard

We have to work on your accent!

Love that song too, now its stuck in my head!

There is another sayin I am sure y'all are familiar with - "We say Grace, we say Ma'am, if you ain't into that, we don't give a ####. (think of waterstopper!)^&grin^&grin

Better stop, bound to offend and liable to start the "conflict" again..............

Tom:

The use of Sir and Ma'am is so prevalent in the South and I really like it.

Howard,

Fruit in Beer? Is lime considered a fruit? Cause I never did consider lime a fruit. A lime is a...lime. It is neither a fruit or a vegetable it is...a lime or Limon. I guess a lime is used for the kick you need after a tequila shot to make sure your "okay" and still alive (in fact my mouth is watering thinking about limes right now). Or that squeeze you put into your sweet tea to to juice it up. Or you run a lime slice around your frosted margarita glass and pour in the concoction...ummmm. Or perhaps you drop a lime in your in your chilled glass of Dos Equis on draft just for flavor...not that it needs any.

So, if that is the fruit question you missed then shame on you my down under brother, because limes sometime make the drink...not fruit. So, yes we Texans have some strange habits and if your ever in town I would love to turn you on to some Borracho Beans, they are the best.

If I was spotted walking around town with a banana in my beer I would be shot on sight.

My maternal grandfather was destined to be a Rabbi in Louisville Kentucky before he ran away west - does that make me 25% Southern ? Do I get any xtra credit for my Civil War blockade running German great great Grandfather ?
