I'm out here in northwestern New Jersey and there is a freakin' blizzard out. I was at the Y working out and they closed the place down! {eek3}

Day after baseball ends and we're getting light snow and rain in DC and the temperature is in the upper 30's. It was beautiful 2 days ago! -- Al

Noreaster is barreling up the US East Coast.

Batten down the hatches and lay in plenty of adult beverages and snacks!! Good day to paint!

Good old NOAA!

We got about an inch of snow . . . before Holloween!!?? Most of the trees haven't changed color yet and still have full green foliage intact:rolleyes2:!

Perth, Western Australia fella,s we are leaving a mild winter and now entering the best time of the year Summer its warm days cool nights at the moment.

we got 3-4 inches of snow. Will be interesting to see what happens overnight. It warmed up and roads were much much better but if the temp drops, could be an icy mess!! I got tons of massive branches snapped off in my yard- probably 2-3 tons worth- my neighbor had a lot of his fence crushed in his front yard.

It's horrible here in Atlanta! Why it was 36 last night! It's not even likely to reach 70 this coming

Week!:p

However they say we will reach 69 Friday & Saturday.........I better go turn on the pool heater!

Geez I sure do miss all that "brown" Jersey Snow!:D

We have no power here in Northwest NJ, at least in my town. The snow has knocked many trees, which broke power lines. It's worse than Irene. I don't foresee power coming back for a few days.

I bought a generator and some kerosene heaters couple of yrs ago after an ice storm knocked out our power for four days. No heat or power with temps in the teens was no fun.

That stinks, Brad. I only have one guest room, but if your son doesn't mind a pull out couch you could come stay with us.

It is getting closer to 2012.
The planets are aligning and the seas are rising.

Yes isn't it awful......I had to kick my pool temperture up to 88 degrees:p

Heater is behind fireplace along with a minor tent city filled by the crew that finished backyard.

Atleast 3 people are using our mailing address, and I noticed several new faces every morning

at the breakfast table!

On a lighter note my daughter said it is a bright sunny day up in NYC so maybe things will get better.

Just seen the news of the horrendous snowstorm in the US and the problems it is causing with lack of power etc. Sincerely hope any of our Treefrogging friends in the area affected are all OK, safe and well. Keep us posted, lads. Trooper

Same here. About 4 inches of heavy wet snow that broke down trees all over. The power went out on Saturday morning and didn't come back until last night. Talk about an experience. Dark at 7 with no heat, lights or water. WHY don't they bury those utility lines underground? In the 21th century we get a minor storm and have this trouble? It's ridiculous. Imagine what would happen if they really had a major crisis.
