I assume you meant Imperial and not K&C catalogs from David Cowe. Right?
 
If I dig around I should be able to find some old Imperial Catalogues from the early to mid-1990's, as well as a nice letter from David Cowe. Imperial was my favorite toy soldier company for several years, and I still have better then 50 sets in storage.
 
Sorry guys. Yes, I meant Imperial. K&C is my other passion, but that has been within the last year. If any of you want, I'm happy to copy my old Imperial catalogs. I have them for the first 67 sets. You can send me a private message if interested.

Dave, No problem. I think Mike said he was going to make up a list. Here is my list of the main sets Imperial released (it doesn't include Town & Around or Civil War, or some of the other special sets they did). I think they did go back and add set 11 at some point. I don't know what set 145 is. David Cowe told me it was a typo on their price list and that the Mahdist Infantry is actually set 146. Let me know if you know the names of those two sets. This was in table format and got altered a bit when I copied it from Word. It is basically the set number, description, and campaign/series (note for some of the early ones, I'm not sure what series they were for). I can also email it as an attachment if you send me a pm.

Wow, that is an impressive list you put together. I don't think I need to do it now since it would just be duplicating what you did. I made a quick perusal of the list (we are about to walk out the door for three days in Las Vegas) and the only sets you are missing are No. 50d - 30th Lancers in green uniforms and No. 51d - 30th Lancers Officer.

Dave, I have the start dates for the major Imperial ranges as best as David Cowe could remember them in my article in TS & MF magazine. If you don't subscribe to it, I will send you an e-mail copy, if you would like.

Have a fun trip. If you have time, when you get back, can you post something on the number 50 sets? I can't recall if they did 5 of those: 50, 50a, 50b, 50c, 50d or just four and what the colors were for those. I have the blue and yellow Bengal Lancer sets. It would be good to get the number down and the name of each of those Bengal Lancer units. Also, let me know if you know what set 145 is? Thanks.

We are back from Las Vegas. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday; in 1967, we were actually married there by a Justice of the Peace. This time we stayed in a suite as opposed to the Westward Ho Motel in 1967. We spent $200 for dinner at Prime at the Belagio. In 1967, my total liquid assets were $400. BTW, that just may have been the best steak dinner we have ever had.

Regarding Imperial: I have the same price list you do, it shows set No. 144 as Carabiniers, 1st Empire and set No. 145 as Mahdist Infantry. So I have no idea what set No. 145 should be. Set No. 11 is Captain Gilbert Mair & the Arawa Flying Column which came out about 15 years out of numeric sequence.

The Bengal Lancer sets are as follows: No. 50 - 13th Bengal Lancers, Egypt/Sudan, 1882 (blue uniform); No. 51 - 13th Bengal Lancers, Egypt/Sudan, 1882 (officer); No. 50a - tan uniform; No. 50b - yellow uniform; No. 50c - red uniform; and No. 50d - green uniform. The Officers are Nos. 51a, b c, & c, respectively. I also have the unit descriptions of these sets.

Just to clarify: set No. 50 is the 13th Bengal Lancers (blue), 50a is the 6th Bengal Lancers (tan), 50b is the 1st Bengal Lancers (yellow), 50c is the 4th Bengal Lancers (red), and 50d is the 30th Lancers (green). I don't know if 50d should be Bengal Lancers, but Stone Castle's 1993 catalog doesn't use "Bengal" in the listing. It could be that since this was a Sikh unit, they were not from Bengal. It was also known as the 4th Regiment of Nizam's Cavalry and later as the Hyderabad Contingent.
 
I just noticed two more omissions from you list. Set No. 12c - Seaforth Highlanders, at the ready and 13c - Seaforth Highlanders, charging. Set Nos. 28a, b, & c are the mounted officers to go with either set Nos. 12a, b, & c or Nos. 13a, b, & c. All these sets are as follows: Black Watch are "a," Gordons are "b," and Seaforths are "c."

If you have original Imperial catalogs and not copies, why don't you send them to me to so I can copy them? Bob Walker has a professional grade copier that retails for $43,000 (he bought it used for $10,000) which makes exceptional quality copies. It sure beats my $300 HP copier/fax machine. In any case, if I can get high quality flyers/catalogs, I'll make up a listing of all Imperial's sets organized by ranges (e.g., Zulu Wars, Crimea, etc.) using color copies of what you send me. I'll make them available to anyone on the forum interested in Imperial. I promise not to damage your originals and will return them to you promptly.

If you send me an email with your address, I will mail the originals. Yes, please return them when done. Note the catalogs cover the first 67 sets. They are the original catalogs and have good images of each the individual sets, but the pictures are not in color. Except for the one in 1995, which was white, the paper for the flyers was colored if that makes any sense. I know others on the forum mentioned they had some catalogs after 1995 with the sets from 67 and on. I'm dying to see color photos of those other sets. It would be fantastic if we could put together a comprehensive photo catalog of their sets (prefarably in color). I'm happy to pitch in on that effort. I wish I had printed out pictures when London Bridge and others carried the Imperial sets. I never thought of it at the time.

It would be great to get some kind of complete catalogue like that ,I,ve
sent the new catalogues I was able to get through to Dan a couple of days
back ,so hopefully theirs something in those you guys dont already have.

Hi Rob,

I asked Dan to wait on mailing them to me to see if Louis can find his Imperial catalogs. That way I only have to impose on Bob Walker one time to use his copier. Actually, he will have to do it for us since it is so sophisticated. He said it took several months for him to learn how to use it. I'll make sure you get a copy when I finish the project.

Rob,

I didn't see it on eBay here in the states. Was it on a non-U.S. site? The last ones I saw earlier this year went for about $850. Did yours include the box?

Yeah it was listed in the US ,the listing was under cameron highlanders
not imperial .Realy nice guy too , I paid just under $700 including all
original packaging . It is going to take pride of place in my collection
thats for sure.

Mike it would be great if you could send me the imperial catalogs when you get them finished I will p.m you my address and everything if you can send them to me. I am interested in seeing more sets because I just added my first imperial figure to my collection earlier this week.
