Impressive New Jagdpanther (4 Viewers)

I got a look at this beast on Saturday at Sierra Toy Soldier. As great as the pictures are they do not do it justice. The paint/camo scheme, the battle worn tracks, they figures etc. all make for an amazing tank. It is one of those pieces that will work perfectly in a diorama or as a stand-alone.

Got my yesterday and will take some photos tonight and post them on the forum

Well my first impression great tank ,prefect paint job but let down by poor track detail

Hi UK, the pics came out a little blurry on my end, what is it that you do not like on the tracks?? I'm in line to get one but haven't seen it in person yet??...Sammy

I think what does not help is the tracks are not painted the same colour base coat as the rest of the tank which make them stand out like they just been put on afterwards which let down the rest of the tank with is very well done but for a tank which retails for £220.00 I expect better . Just my opinion

I like the tracks on this piece, can't say that about other K&C armor.

I've got to agree with you here. Although the paint job looks decent, the lack of track detail totally turn me off and that's one of the reasons I have not bought any K&C armors for quite a while now. For that kind of money it's got to have more detail than that. I guess if you like K&C armors you have to like the muddy/no detail track.

This applies to others, but it is amazing how many non K/C buyers show up to put in their negative 2 cents opinions about K/C releases. It's like the movie critic that trashes a show without ever going to see it...Us dirty dog, grunge lovin, mud wrestling, long time K/C collectors thank you for your clean, pure, rivet counting thoughts..:rolleyes2: Michael

Michael...

I don't believe your suggesting that unless you still buy and do so now that you are not allowed to comment upon manufacturers releases? The fact is that more than likely established collectors probably started with K&C and have either stayed with that manufacturer become eclectic in collecting habits because of new manufacturers TG, CS, Figarti and FL or have decided as this poster that he cannot personally justify the cost for detail in his opinion.

With respect you bring up regularly issues with CS but, seem unable to allow anyone to have a comment that is not hoisting the positivity flag in the air at King & Country releases.

Everyone on here has an opinion and I am happy to hear the good the bad and the ugly. More than a few collectors I know don't like the filler in the tracks that K&C use (including myself) you either buy them and accept or buy and ***** or, you don't buy at all.

we are all toy soldier collectors and everything is of interest to us and opined upon even if we don't like or buy it. That is what the forum is all about

I'm intending to go for the "winter" version of the Jagdpanther when it comes out later this year, so to those who have the Normandy version a query - Is the gun tube already fitted or does it come as a separate item?

It already fitted but does not move , hope that help

I really think it does no good to complain about the track work. That's just the way K & C has decided to make them. I commented on it a couple of years ago and that is what Andy responded. Every company had their style of making a product and that's just the way it is. We can choose to buy or not to buy. I have plenty of tanks and frankly I just don't think about it.

Moreover, this looks like a very nice one.

What the point of a toy soldier forum if you can't talk about these things ?

This is what the forum is all about, we discuss about the good/bad/ugly of Toy soldier. I like this tank and was thinking about getting it to go together with the K&C Elefant, Honour Bound Panthers etc.. but after seeing the track detail I decided not to get it; And I do have many K&C items in my collection, just not the recently released ones. If K&C decides to make better tracks on armors in future, I'll consider to buy them again...but not now {sm2}

agree. As for Andy saying this or that as Brad has told us on a number of occasions and very recently about the 88mm Andy does change his mind. Not sure the tracks will change myself but, people kept asking for X and it comes so, if people keep discussing the tracks then who know?

Agree with what your saying mate , with the jagdpanther if they done like you said think they would be on to a winner with painting the tracks the same as the rest of the tank

Mine arrived yesterday afternoon and I see what you are saying about the wheels. To me they look a lighter colour than the base colour underneath the camo on the actual hull of the JP. a couple of camo lines or full colour on them and it would have been better. The track and wheel detail is ok but, I thought the earlier WSS JP had better track and wheel detail than this one.

I am doing mine in winter white anyway so, it will be changed soon enough

Have any feel for size? Just wondering if they went over 1/30 for this too

Best if Mitch answers this as I've sold of all my KC armour and to be fair only have one tank in my collection now which is a Figarti Tiger tank
