I love this scene! It's nice to see a non-combatant scene in this genre.

aaaaaaaaaaaah Mark...

water...canoes...groundwork...Indians and trees...even a dog...how good can it get...sweet!

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful {bravo}}
That is really great work, Mark.
Wonderful scene.

This is a beautiful set-up. Reminds me of a Buxton or Griffing print. -- Al

I know that a lot of collectors consider the best scenes to be those that come across as being photo-realistic. However, some of the best that I've seen are more reminiscent of a nice, life-like painting.

The overhead shots are interesting, must try some on my stuff. Between you and Mike there is no danger of the world being devoid of trees. Great scenes, very colourful.^&cool, Robin.

A very graceful display. Well balanced and everything is seems just right - water, figures, composition and vegetation. Maybe the best sculpt dog ever !!!

Fantastic in all respects. Very life like and well photographed. Thanks for posting, nice to view first thing in the morning. Chris

Great dio :salute:: And great landscape, versatile coloured figures, you can create a realistic atmosphere. I am also doing an open air indian diorama, I missed this.

Outstanding creation Mark . . . . not much more that I can say that hasn't already been said above. I always appreciate scenes and set ups like this. John does a marvelous job in keeping us all supplied with figures in non-combative poses.

These photos would make a great 2016 JJD Collector's Club Calender. You should show these to John:salute::

MARK .... Fantastic, wonderful, amazing .. and 100's of other words of praise. For me, the non-combat scenes are always the most interesting and you worked yours to perfection. The last picture of the Indians and Traders trudging off into the woods is both unique and really well done ....

Nice mix of Frontline and JJD Indians.

So many questions ....
Is that a JD river matt that you used?
What is the dark material you used as ground cover ... sorta' looks like burned wood pieces?
Those dogs are a perfect addition ... where did you get those?
