JJD 2024 Advent Calendar Sketches (1 Viewer)

Interesting. It looks like John isn’t quite done with the Saratoga/Oriskany series.

John did mention the possibility of Mid Republican Roman casualties as we need the balance out the growing Carthaginian forces

You never know what tomorrow will bring 😉
Mike
Hmmm. Romans will come.
The chariot will be awesome. Still, we will have 6 JJD chariots when the "fighting" Hittite chariot drops (this is a Julie-buy must) and 4 others so...
We may skip it. But I hope those who do the Full Battle of Kadesh post pics!
Best Wishes
Paddy

I was hoping for it so much! I have made several articles in this direction on the forum concerning the Mitannians...What joy to see QADESH continue to develop in this direction!
This is a chariot not to be missed!
My other hope is the Libyan light chariot...maybe Mike has it in the sketches..
well, he won't say anything even under torture...
in any case, I am very happy to see that JJD has not said everything about Qadesh...

What an interesting looking figure. Are we going to get a bit of the last of the mohicans?

Ah there is the casualty figure John mentioned to me. A must have for me for the Zama diorama.

I like these Hastati but I'm hoping John gives a peak into a different era of Rome that we have discussed on several occasions. Fingers crossed.

Looks good. I would love some Imperial Romans or some Byzantium style Romans. What an artist, wish i could draw like John
I talked to John about Varangian Guard, as I have some Thomas Gunn Byzantium figures, but John is not going there. A really interesting part of history but he has too many ranges already and cannot afford to get into this era.

The forerunner of many Zulu I would say. Off to a running start with this one, very nice. Thanks John and Mike. Robin.
