Hi all,

Clive at Grey Goose delivered the rest of my JJD fort just before Christmas and finally had a chance to set it all up today.
JJD Fort. TGM Tents and Romans with a few K&C Romans. Looks pretty **** good if you ask me. Big thanks to Hoa and his kids for helping me assemble it.

Cheers,

Stefan

Ooooh this is screaming "Play with me!"

As a kid in Albuquerque in the 1970s I bought a cardboard box full of plastic Romans at the flea market. Most of the Marx Ben Hur playset, some Warriors of the World, the carcass of Remco's "Big Caesar" and a lot of the little marching figures that came with it. I think I paid $1.50.

All of those toys, plus plenty of 2x4s for walls and index cards folded in half for tents made a very crude version of what you have perfected here. You've got a great set up, great collection, thanks for sharing.

By the way, I sold those toys a few years later at the same flea market, probably made a sweet profit of $2 or $3. O tempora, o mores!

Massive layout, certainly hits the list for the best Roman fort going. You would need a lot of patience setting this scene coupled with finances, but totally worth it. Robin.

Beautiful work showcasing all those lovely Romans! Love TGM's new Red Tent amongst the 'off white' canvas tents inside the Roman Fort. Well done on such a stunning display and scene.

Cheers,
Grey

Simply remarkable Stefan!! Congratulations on this accomplishment. It's a true work of art and no doubt the highlight of your collection.

Hope you enjoy it for many years to come.

Thanks for sharing this with us!!!

Stefan,

It great that you have the space to showcase such a wonderful/stunning display.

Steve

Last time i saw a Roman Fort that size, it had a gift shop and cafe attached to it.
Stefan, how about a breakdown, such as length and width, how many and which companies figures etc, how many tents and how many different parts from JJD to make up the fort?
